The story of Navy SEAL, Ryan Larkin.

The physical and mental toll of service lasts long after the uniform is retired. Many of those who are suffering are not seeking help or treatment, or they may not even know how to vocalize what they are feeling. They may pull away from family and friends and isolate themselves, a known precursor to suicidal ideation. They may be suffering from undiagnosed traumatic brain injuries that mimics psychological ailments or PTSD.

I highly recommend this podcast. So very interesting to hear Frank Larkins first hand accounts of post Vietnam years, local law enforcement in Philadelphia, the Secret Service, and September 11th. Frank being a parent with son Ryan in harms way shares the personal account of his son’s brain injury. The observation of Ryan over time, sharing the symptoms and progression of the injury. My son is active duty army, 2009-present day. I appreciate the personal account of those times. He is very open and honest and credible. Frank’s own life experience gives weight to his telling of his and his son’s story. I recommend this to everyone of age to hear it.

The behind the scenes stories of Frank Larkin’s life span the major geopolitical events happening during my lifetime.
