28 - Ed Kemper - "The Co-Ed Killer" - Part 1

Today, we are going to be discussing the terror that swept across the city of Santa Cruz, California in the early 1970’s. Women were going missing and body parts were showing up in remote areas – leading investigators to believe they were dealing with a sophisticated serial killer. This episode will set the stage for what the feeling was in the community based on the information given, while the next two in this three part dive into Ed Kemper, also known as "The Co-Ed Killer", will fill in all of the horrific gaps that were given to the investigators by the killer himself. Details that would be studied for decades to come, and helped shape the way serial killers are profiled to this day.
