122. The Montauk Project

The Hamptons—with its mega-mansions and roadside lobster roll stands—you wouldn’t expect to find government conspiracies involving mind control, time travel, child abduction, and hallucinogenic drug experiments.

(emphasis) But….. Camp Hero, which is a decommissioned military base located in Montauk, New York, is thought by many to have been the site of government-sanctioned human experiments comparable to the atrocities committed by the Nazis in concentration camps during World War II. (yikes…)

If you’re thinking that kidnapping, telepathy experiments, and portals to other times and dimensions sound more like the plot of a movie or TV show than reality, you’re not wrong.....cue Stranger Things theme song....
