Born in London, Laura’s interest in magic began at the age of 10 when she was given her first magic trick by a family friend. Just one week after her 18th birthday, she became the youngest ever female member of The Magic Circle and is now a member of the exclusive Inner Magic Circle, a position that is reserved for the very best and achieved only by election by her peers.
Sleight of hand is Laura’s first love. Her card skills are exceptional and were showcased in ‘Laura London: CHEAT’ a show Laura wrote and devised which premiered at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe. It tells the story of a female cardsharp in the 1920s. She has since performed this show to standing ovations at the world famous ‘Magic Castle’ in Los Angeles both to the general public and at international magic conventions.
Within 6 months of becoming professional, Laura landed her first TV show called Playing Tricks, a ten-part street magic series. Laura was the only female among the six featured magicians. Her other TV credits include ITV1’s ‘The Next Great Magician’, ‘Penn and Teller’s ‘Fool Us’, ‘The Magic Party’ and ‘Children In Need’.
Laura is currently the ‘magician of choice’ at many fashionable London venues and events. Her residencies include the Café de Paris, the Hippodrome, Scarfes Bar and the Savoy. One of her biggest honours was performing for Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace and also on several occasions for His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales.
