The Scriptures present the promise of being “turned into another man”— freedom from sin and its effects, including fear, addiction, anxiety, and other frailties—resulting in a life aligned with God’s will. This transformation is typified by Israel’s journey from Egypt to the Promised Land: deliverance is possible, yet the journey is difficult and requires patience.

In this series, Pastor Jeffrey Walter emphasizes the essential role of patience in the journey of spiritual transformation. He uncovers why we give up easily and encourages perseverance in obeying the Word of God. By examining spiritual symptoms, he shows how their discovery should motivate obedience to God and reveals the need to embody genuine faith that makes whole.

In this episode, “The Need for Patience”, Pastor Jeffrey Walter establishes the central promise of the gospel—spiritual transformation—and shows how challenging the process can be. He presents patience as an essential requirement for this transformation and outlines key obstacles along the journey: the “horrible pit” and the “miry clay.” He concludes by urging believers to continue obeying the Word of God, assuring that patient perseverance leads to true transformation, i.e., becoming the person God intends them to be.

As you listen to this message, may the Lord grant you patience to stay the course throughout the journey of transformation. Victory awaits you!

Key Scripture: Psalm 40:1-3 (KJV)

I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.

3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
