The Scriptures present the promise of being “turned into another man”— freedom from sin and its effects, including fear, addiction, anxiety, and other frailties—resulting in a life aligned with God’s will. This transformation is typified by Israel’s journey from Egypt to the Promised Land: deliverance is possible, yet the journey is difficult and requires patience.
