Story
This no-holds-barred autobiography chronicles the remarkable life of Phil Robertson, the original Duck Commander and Duck Dynasty star, from early childhood through the founding of a family business. Life was always getting in the way of Phil Robertson’s passion for duck hunting. An NFL-bound quarterback, Phil made his mark on Louisiana Tech University in the 1960s by playing football and completing his college career with a master’s degree in English. But Phil’s eyes were not always on the books or the ball; they were usually looking to the sky....

Story
The Theft of America’s Soul is a prophetic wake-up call for all who desire to see our nation thrive, challenging listeners to exchange these 10 lies for truths that will bring peace of mind, harmony, and prosperity back to our country - an invitation to experience the life-giving, peace-filling, wholly-transforming love of God. Phil Robertson, patriarch of A&E’s Duck Dynasty and one of the most recognized voices of conservative Christianity in America, believes that little by little, America has allowed the lines of morality, decency, and virtue to be erased.

Story
We live in an ever-dividing country, a country in which identity politics, creeping socialist policies, and the vast partisan divide threaten the very fabric of America. After decades of political decay and of losing sight of our first principals, the American people are suffering from runaway debt, increased rates of depression, broken families, moral decay, and more. In Jesus Politics, Phil Robertson provides an alternate path: a radical call for Christians to use their freedoms to advance the agenda of the King and win back the soul of America.

The brother of patriarch Phil Robertson, Uncle Si has a limitless supply of stories about his childhood, duck hunting adventures, his days in Vietnam, and everything in between. Now the best of those tales are gathered into this roaring collection.
Si shares stories of the more than 25 marriage proposals he's received in the mail (some with photos!), how he came to use a green Tupperware cup for his ever-present sweet tea, and how his cigarette smoke made a deer cough (he's since quit smoking).

It’s all about the food…. For the Robertsons, family is typified by the dinner table, where both food and fables are dished up with equal care. Anyone with a good story - whether it be a hunting escapade or one of the children’s antics - is welcome to share. And that’s what this family is all about - sharing, caring for one another, and the love of good food. Chapters are built around recipes that represent each stage of the Robertson life. What do faith, family, ducks, and money have in common? Korie and Willie Robertson!

Infidelity, deceit, distrust, and shame. Unfortunately, these are recurring themes in many of today's marriages in America - even in the family-values-promoting, Christian-based Robertson family. With a romance that began in junior high, the couple got off to a rocky start but soon settled into married life and had two baby girls. Alan became a pastor in the church where his family had been members for years. Then, when Lisa had an affair, the heartache and the tension was very public.

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty tired of the struggle. You know which one I mean - fear, loneliness, not knowing who I am or what I’m meant to do.... Sound familiar? I struggled with insecurity, comparison, and isolation for too many years, from thigh gaps to eyebrows to the lifestyles I felt I had to live up to. I was so afraid of being "found out", that everyone in my life would somehow figure out that I was fearful and small and that I struggled to make my faith a reality and to be secure in who I am.

Things that Needed to Be Said, Were Said
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. Being a late comer to the whole Duck Dynasty series, I was skeptical about how good a book would be from someone in "reality tv". I was VERY pleased with this book, because to be frank, I agree with Phil and think more people need to stand up for what they believe.
What other book might you compare unPHILtered to and why?
None that I can think of.
What does Alan Robertson and Phil Robertson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Their voice. When I read a book I don't hear male voices. LOL... I would have preferred the whole book read by Phil, but it is what it is.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
I wouldn't make a film about this book.
Any additional comments?
It's a good book. I enjoyed it. I would've preferred Phil read the whole thing and I hope he does another book and does read it.

Traditional Beliefs
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book contains traditional Christian beliefs presented in a elegant manner. Phil Robertson presents his beliefs in a kind and nonjudgmental manner. As he said, you either accept it or not, the choice is yours.
What did you like best about this story?
He was straight forward in presenting his beliefs. He is not unkind is his presentation, but explains why he feels the way he does about things.
What about Alan Robertson and Phil Robertson ’s performance did you like?
I liked hearing the author Phil read it better. It was kind of annoying hearing 2 different voices.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No, but I respect people who are not afraid of speaking their mind, but do it in a kind and logical manner. Phil Robertson did this.
Any additional comments?
This is a good book for understanding traditional American thought and beliefs.
