What if the richest person in the world looked out across the human landscape and came to the conclusion that the “chaos” is approaching, that social collapse at the hands of murderous extremists is on its way and may well fatally undermine civilisation? With such vast resources at their disposal what would they do? Would they begin a process to save humanity from itself … even if humanity didn’t want to be saved?

On the trail of missing nuclear warheads, an investigative journalist, Richard Austin, is convinced that the politician and industrialist – Trevallyan - has the warheads in orbit over China which could trigger WW3. Yet what Austin discovers is something far more profound there beyond the leading edge of cyber and robotic research, something far more unbelievable than the most outlandish ambition.

This is a story about people who see beyond previous horizons, not constrained by other peoples limitations, who move the world in order to save the world … even if the world did not want to be saved. This is a story of accepting future disaster as a major flaw in human nature and with vast resources at their disposal, with new technologies created by free minds, sets out to build a city on Mars, leaving behind the ”chaos” and that flaw within human nature.

What if the person in control of this great challenge was no longer a person at all?
