Publisher's summary

He shouldn’t be here.
Reaper used to have a life, and friends, and a close-knit Pack. He was Stryker. Even if he was a War Wolf, his life made sense. When he died, something evil needed him to cheat death. A powerful storm is building around him, because Reaper has been brought back to life for a nightmare destiny. He’s been controlled by an underserving Alpha before, and he is done being a pawn in the game of good and evil. From here on, Reaper will do whatever he wants.

Isa Moreau is his only anchor.
She is the only one who can save Reaper’s new Pack from him. She is the only one who can save Reaper from himself, but Fate sure is hard to fight, and especially for a she-wolf who is dropped in the middle of a battle she didn’t know existed.
She’s learning that there are two sides to the Zombie Wolf of Piston…
One with the capacity to learn love, and one with the ability to destroy everything.
Reaper must choose between good and evil, once and for all, and he must protect a Pack that betrayed him to do it.

Witches, werewolves, and ghosts are pulling the Zombie Wolf in different directions, and no one really knows where he will land.
Will he be a good Zombie Wolf? Or the Zombie Wolf everyone loves to hate?

Don’t miss T. S. Joyce’s highly anticipated first book in the brand-new Wolves of Piston series.
No grave can hold these wolves down…

Content Warning: love scenes, naughty language, and piles of shifter secrets. This series is establishing territory lines for a new Pack. If you aren’t up for wolf fights, this won’t be your jam, but if you’re up for action-adventure love stories with a side of werewolf growly-growly-fight-fights, this one’s for you.

Virtual Voice is a bit better than nothing

I loved the story, unfortunately I was not able to immerse myself into the flow of the story due to Virtual Voice. The voice was pleasant, but sometimes it was difficult to recognize which one of the main characters was talking. In longer sentences it was necessary to concentrate not to loose meaning of complete sentence due to unnatural intonation and pauses between words. Virtual voice cannot replace experienced human narrators yet. I like the author, but I do not feel like listening to another Virtual Voice narrated book even if it is included in free Plus Catalog. I definitely will not spend any credit on books that use Virtual Voice in the near future.

What a story!

Loved the story but felt the ending was non committed. I was expecting a bit more. The Reaper though? Man he is powerful and complicated all at once. I loved how he slowly started to change when Isa was around. They are a perfect pair because neither knew what they were doing in the “wolf” world and helped each other figure things out

The pack….well they are another ball of wax. Distrusting, disrespectful and liars. I was pleased Reaper called Darren to work out the dynamics. These boys will be a challenge.

Overall the author continues to amaze me. I was unsure if I wanted to read this series..because of the powers and zombie stuff. I did want to read it because Stryker was so loved by his friends. I wanted his story too so I gave it a go. Surprise to me I really enjoyed seeing the man/wolf side of Reaper and all he can be.
