SO good!

You HAVE to give this a listen. Get through her whining she is only 18 (something I had to keep reminding myself of). There is drama and a love interest. I am beyond sad the rest aren't on audible escape.

The stry was good but the narration falls flat

The story is good but the narrator reads it like a 4th grade science report. The changes in vocal intonation are few and the character's voices are all very similar to the point of not being able to know who is talking.

Yet another zombie book. I actually liked this one

So we have this strong and mostly smart teenager, who loves her family, and who sometimes makes bad decisions but always with good intentions. I kept asking myself "why would she do that?" and had to keep answering myself "oh, she's a teenager".

I like that she's strong and takes charge, and doesn't let other people walk all over her.

Some interesting situation, coupled with some not-so-good choices, that add up to a good story.

I requested this audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.

Enjoyable listen

I enjoyed listening to this book. It read like a young adult book, but I enjoyed it anyway. There was no sexual content and the violence wasn't too graphic. There was some romance thrown in as well.

For girls who do nails and lack basic science!

This book is for girls who get their eyebrows and nails done during a FLU pandemic.
This book explains science by saying I seen the sun moving in the sky so it must travel around the earth.
The book says the a FLU shot will make you more likely to get sick.
This book thinks that FLU shots are given to people after you get the FLU to make you better.
This book states that you should you a anti-bacteria wipe to ward off a virus.
I only got halfway through before I gave up.
I am so dishearten to it has such a high rating. Are girls so vapid?

Good zombie story

It is definitely a YA story. (Not that I mind.) I like the characters. So many YA books make the characters way more mature than their age. The way the zombies begin is a little different, but I like it. Looking forward to listening to more. The narrator did a good job. It took a couple of chapters to get used to her. She isn't monotone.

honestly it was a good book but it was just so much cliche in the book. it has a plot line that is kinda easy to guess. but it's still good

influenZa season

I received this book via a free promo code and this is my voluntary review.

This started off so promising.... but now part of my brain feels like I have had a lobotomy and I'm fairly sure it wasn't the zombies.

Cassie Wild is your typical teen Mary Sue with plot armour. Anti-Vaxer Mom raised her on a concoctions of natural herbal remedies and her gun mad dad saved her from receiving the flu shot which turned most people into Zombies.
Her Mary Sue special powers don't stop there of course... She's a martial arts expert, object of desire for Bryce the hot martial arts instructor and hunky soldier Austin, Every character in this story insists on reminding us how she's a great marksman and zombie slaying expert... even if most of the time her decisions and hair twirling boy mad brain and thoughts regarding Bryce make her TSTL on several occasions. There is very little depth in this book and if it were a movie... its definitely Razzi material. If you were to think of this as a comedy... I guess it could work.

If this hadn't been an audiobook I doubt I would have finished it because the childish conversations and the multitude of idiotic character decisions would have been too exhausting to read myself. which should tell you something.... i am a major zombie fanatic but this was not written well. I think the only thing that saved it from feeling like a waste of time was the great performance from Belle Avery.

A promising new zombie series

I enjoyed this book, the characters were good, the plot had plenty of action and the narration was good. I really liked Cassie, she was strong, no nonsence and ready for trouble, but a little hesitant when trouble finally found her. I can't wait to start the next book. to find out what happens next. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.
