Publisher's summary

O pomoc v jisté choulostivé věci požádá Oldřicha z Chlumu i královna Kunhuta.

Easy listening

Interesting enough story, but with some annoyances and weak character development. This is not Vondruska's best work.

SPOILER: The main character and his wife had recently become parents. But although they love each other, nowhere in the book they ever give even a passing thought to the child, its safety and wellbeing. It's like the author forgot he made them parents. At the same time, the author spends a copious amount of time on describing the main hero's side kick's love interests. Although noblemen at that time might not have been hands-on parents, their heirs definitely mattered to them. The story felt flat and unrealistic.
