Publisher's summary

United Nations Special Operations Command sent an elite expeditionary force of soldiers and pilots out on a simple recon mission, and somehow along the way they sparked an alien civil war. Now the not-at-all-merry band of pirates is in desperate trouble, again. Their stolen alien starship is falling apart, thousands of light years from home. The ancient alien AI they nicknamed Skippy is apparently dead, and even if they can by some miracle revive him, he might never be the same.

The combination of RC Bray and Craig Alanson is worth every penny

Very few sci-fi series have the capacity to make you laugh out loud in traffic, along with engaging the imagination about the technology and species involved in the story. Every one of Alanson’s books has managed that feat. The story arc for this series is continuing to evolve, and I personally can’t wait to see what Skippy and The Merry Band of Pirates get up to next!

Can't Stop Laughing!!!!

I love skippy and many of the characters in this series, I remember while reading book 1 I thought it was an ok book till skippy showed up, my favourite character!!!

I like this series, but sometimes I tend to day dream while listening and miss few minutes because some things could take longer than I like. Other than that, the book has interesting twists and waiting to see what will happen next.

I like the fact that I don't have to wait for months/years for the next book to come out!!!

Narration is great!

Love this series - this is a great book

I have to admit I didn't care much for the ending of book 4. But this book (book 5) came back strong. This is the best series on audible in my opinion, highly recommend!

You know why you're here

If you're this far into the series, I assume you know why you're here. The writing and the story are decent, but heavy on the tropes and recycled story ticks and dialog. However, the vocal performance is outstanding and continues doing a stellar job of bringing the Skippy and Joe relationship to life, and that's why you keep coming back to this series!

Alanson and Bray Do it again!

Alanson!!!! write FASTER!!!! without giving the story away Zero Hour picks up where the series left off, and brings it in an almost new direction! Those that have not listed to R.C Bray read a book....what are you waiting for?!!! while he can not sing to save his life he really has a great sense of sarcasm and portrays it well!

As far as the series go read the first book, I promise you'll be hooked! thats an audible money back guarantee right there!!!
