Publisher's Summary

In his first title, front man of Slipknot and Stone Sour Corey Taylor took on the seven deadly sins, pulling them apart to reveal all that is irrelevant and wrong about the vices in the modern world through his own uniquely hilarious yet ferocious style. But in Corey's eyes that's not all that is wrong with the world today....

From bad music, fame and infomercials to raising kids, sex and airport security, You're Making Me Hate You is the result of a one-man mission to demonstrate the alarming rise in worldwide idiocy, buffoonery and out-and-out disregard for intelligent thought.

Rant filled but eloquent, shocking but intelligent, this is best-selling author Corey Taylor at his most Corey Taylor, and he doesn't leave himself out either... turns out he's just as f***ing stupid as the rest of us, too.

Misanthropic old man shakes fist at cloud; makes money

It’s entertaining for a while, and then starts to drag a bit the further through you get, and realise that this is largely a compilation of the slightly petty gripes and tangents of a middle-aged man, who really doesn’t have a great deal to worry about in life. Corey’s performance keeps it at least somewhat amusing, but I can imagine this being a struggle in print form.

Finally, some honesty about human kind these days.

Just loved the honesty of his opinion from the observations over the past decade. Feel quite strongly about the way we as humans have become too. And Taylor has hit the nail on the head with a sledge hammer.

You Are Making Me Hate You

Corey Taylor’s quick wit and angry insight is both very funny and timely. From ridiculous fashion to the obnoxious habits of airline customers, Corey breaks it down and will leave the listener wanting more.

Corey, you're making me love you

I was surprised how much this book made me laugh! Corey is an expert storyteller and his sense of humour was one that made this ride all the more enjoyable. I'm yet to experience a few of the things that he spoke about but what I did relate to in this book, Corey made some solid SOLID arguments about what on earth was wrong with so many things in the world. And when I told my parents about this book they just wrote it off as a novel length rant, but HA! To them, because I actually learned a few things in this tome, mainly how to do a few things differently as an 18 year old, and one of my lessons kicked in the other night. I went out clubbing, and with Corey's book in mind, I realised how synthetic this whole clubbing thing was, and now you'll never catch me inside one of those things...sorry I'm getting carried away. Solid book Corey!

Exceptionally fun

Youre Making me Hate You is a barrage of cynical misanthrope at it funniest. A great listen and the way The Great Big Mouth himself delivers it just makes the whole piece. A+ Good Sir.
