Publisher's Summary

In the tradition of the late, great George Carlin, Corey Taylor, the lead singer of Slipknot and Stone Sour, sounds off in hilarious fashion about the many vagaries of modern life that piss him off. Whether it's people's rude behavior in restaurants and malls, the many indignities of air travel, eye-searingly terrible fashion choices, dangerously clueless drivers, and - most of all - the sorry state of much modern music, Taylor's humor and insight cover civil society's seeming decline, sparing no one along the way, least of all himself. Holding nothing back and delivered in Taylor's inimitable voice, You're Making Me Hate You is a cathartic critique of the strange world in which we find ourselves.

A Breeze of Fresh Air

I spent almost 8 hours listening to this book, so I spent almost 8 hours smiling. This book speaks the truth with no regret and is extremely funny. I honestly loved every second of it and I agree with 99,99% of it. How was the narrator? The fact that Corey himself did the reading was what made me get this audio book eventhough I had already read the, I couldn't pass on the chance of hearing him and his heavenly voice (yes Corey, heavenly) reading this Master Piece of a Book! I will highly recommend it to carefully selected people!!

I really like the author.

I truly enjoyed seven deadly sins and it made me want to read this book. I really like Corey Taylor's writing style and his voice. The recording was good however there were multiple audio errors where edits were needed! It was Reading this book makes me want to go back and read seven deadly sins because it was written so well and with a great structure. Again, I really like Corey Taylor this book just didn't go anywhere.

Addictive Punishment...lol

Hilariously insightful and well read by "The Great Big Mouth" himself. Makes you think about the frivolous shit we care too much about in today's "civilized" world.

Laughed so hard, I cried

So I have tears in my eyes and a headache from all the laughing and vigorous head-nodding I did while reading this book, but it was a good time. Corey Taylor's amazing voice and talent for lyrics translated beautifully into a angry, hilarious manifesto on the idiocy of today's average human being. I found myself a kindred spirit; yes, Mr. Taylor, I hate them too!

I highly recommend this book to anyone with half a brain and concern for not only younger generations, but ourselves.

As a Slipknot and stone sour fan I wanted to like

This book just got on my nerves. He wanted to be George Carlin's but just ended sounding whiny. And he was needlessly melodramatic in an attempt to be humorous.

The content and performance was grating and I wasn't able to finish it. I'll stick to listening to his music.
