Publisher's Summary

Indulge in two delicious standalone tales of love at first date starting with Your French Kisses, performed by Shane East and Erin Mallon...

To do list for my last day of my Paris vacation...

  1. Walk along the river
  2. Visit all the chocolate shops in the city
  3. Wander along the cobblestoned streets.

Things I don't expect to happen...

  1. Meet a charming Englishman while strolling along the Seine
  2. Spend the afternoon with him exploring Paris, and kissing. So many French kisses...
  3. Board a plane that night wishing I'd gotten his last name.

Besides, you can't fall for someone in one day, especially when you live a world apart...

You can also enjoy a brand new recording of the novella Too Good to Be True, now with narration from Joe Arden and Andi Arndt...

To say I’m wary of love would be an epic understatement. Keep that four-letter word far away from me.

But then a matchmaker friend insists she can pair me with the perfect man for me.

Even when sparks fly and chemistry crackles from the first date, I refuse to believe this kind of insta-connection can be the real thing.

Even though for the first time it feels like it could be.

Or is it just too good to be true?

Two novelettes in one book. Gotta love that!

Your French Kisses: Marley & Reid story is about love at first sight, timing and the one that got away... almost. This is a sweet and dreamy novella that remind us that no matter where you are in life, today could be the day you meet the person of your dreams and if it's meant to be it will be...eventually. Erin Mallon & Shane East were perfect as always, they both do great flirty characters with a lot of emotions.

Too Good To Be True: Cute and flirty short story about Olivia and Herb, Olivia is Flynn's sister. It's been awhile since I listened to Come As You Are and after listening to this story, I think I need a re-listen very soon! Joe Arden and Andi Arndt were great. Lots of silly in this one and Andi that had me giggling.

Pure Happiness!

This book is what champagne bubbles feel like sipped on a delicious night with your special someone: complete and pure happiness!
A chance meeting by two people still not knowing what a future life will hold instore for them. People still needing to grow and blossom into themselves. What American lady wouldn’t jump at the chance to take a chocolate tour all day with a handsome Brit through the streets of Paris especially when they know it will only be that one day.

Ms. Blakely wrote a shorter story that have me falling in love right along with the characters of Reid and Marley. I am absolutely blown away with how much my heart is bursting with joy & my cheeks ache from all the smiles that are delivered. Oh, and the delivery – absolute cloud 9 with Shane East and Erin Mallon performing this fantastic text. You can hear the ache in Erin’s voice when Marley doesn’t want to walk away from Reid, so much so I may have teared up a bit. But the smooth reassurance of Shane’s Reid knowing it is the right thing and they WILL find each other because “…today is making me believe in something else…”, so dreamy and so lovely. Listen, enjoy and fall in LOVE with “Your French Kisses”.

Two Novellas & Four Fantastic Narrators

Overall 4.5 stars
Performance 5 stars
Story 4 stars

I really enjoyed this fun little audiobook! It features 2 stand alone novellas, Your French Kisses and Too Good to be True, and 4 different incredible narrators.

Your French Kisses
This instalove/second chance romance is about Marley and Reid. Shane East and Erin Mallon were amazing! They both do male and female voices and accents so well and they captured all the excitement and possibility of new love, but also the heartbreak of terrible timing. I'm not normally a fan of instalust/love books, but this one really worked and I couldn't help but get swept up in Marley and Reid's romance. The book features both of their POV's and is told in the past and present.

Too Good to be True
This was another instalove romance and featured Herb and Olivia. Both have some relationship baggage to deal with, but when they're set up by a matchmaker, the sparks fly! Andi Arndt and Joe Arden narrate this novella wonderfully, and I don't think I will ever get tired of hearing their voices (along with Shane East and Erin Mallon). All four give stellar performances and Lauren Blakely continues to consistently choose the most perfect narrators for her books.

Two Novella’s in One!

Awe, I freaking love fate!!

I swear all the feels; I was rooting so hard for this couple.
Sometimes when you meet someone you just KNOW you meet someone that is going to change your life. But they might have come into our life at a wrong time. But Fate can be a funny thing and give you a second chance.

The second novella was sweet and gives us a story about taking a chance on love even when you have been burned before.

I really enjoyed these characters they were witty and the connection was sweet, I wanted to be Olivia’s bestie!
Loved the narration it was exactly what these stories needed.

All I want is more!

This is a great little novella pack - there are two short stories with fantastic narrators!

First - Your French Kisses - They meet in Paris - they have one day. They have a perfect day. Then it's left to fate if they meet up again. Shane East and Erin Mallon are very enjoyable in this listen!

Second - Too Good to Be True - Ah.... my only complaint - too short!! Such a fun little short story - and the little you get with Joe Arden is so good and leaves you wanting more, more more!

Perfect little novellas

Everything Lauren Blakely does is gold! Both of these novellas were spectacular. Short and sweet and full of hope, trust and love. I absolutely adoredYour French Kisses”! What a beautiful story.
And all four of the narrators were fabulous. They are seriously the best in the biz! No matter how the four of them team up, Shane, Erin, Andi and Joe are magic and such a treat for your ears. They make every story better!

Two short stories

Both stories are on the short side so there isn’t much time for lot and character development.
We do have two likable couples and wonderful narrators. Well worth the time!

Full or romance!

Your French Kisses is a short novella about Marley and Reid. We've fallen for them in the series and finally get to hear their story! Sweet, sexy, fun listen about one night in Paris when they met and fell for each other. Shane and Erin were fantastic as always!

And a little bonus - Too Good to be True! Olivia and Herb's story from Come as You Are! Olivia is Flynn's sister and I just loved her. Herb and Olivia's story is fun, sexy and hopeful! Joe and Andi were so great! I just love Joe so much!

Short, sweet, and flirty

This was such a sweet short story. Marley is in Paris with her friends and while they go do all the height attractions on their last day, she explores, bumping into the charming Reid, a Brit who is spending his last day in Paris too. The way they met was one of the sweetest meet-cutes ever, who wouldn’t bond over chocolate? Spending time with them in Paris almost felt like we were there with them. And their chemistry was palpable, I was sad when they went their separate ways leaving it to serendipity as to if they ever meet again, and spoiler alert - not really, this is a Lauren Blakely romance, they do meet again and it was just perfect. Lauren Blakely manages to capture so much romance, not just for the couple but the city in this story and it’s beautiful to listen to.

Performed brilliantly by Erin Mallon and Shane East. Not really much I can add to that, they are both top-notch performers and that comes through in this story. They put so much heart into the performance it was easy to get lost in the romance.

The audio also includes Too Good to be True, performed by Andi Arndt and Joe Arden.

This is such an adorable short story about a blind date and what comes after. Olivia has been hurt in the past and because of it is prone to self-sabotage, so when she’s set up with Herb, she’s sure it’ll be a disaster. Lucky for her, Herb feels the same way. Lucky for us listeners, they’re both wrong and hit it off instantly and go on what might be the best date ever. They so cute together and they have so much chemistry. I loved how Lauren packed such a punch with a short story, she really knows how to deliver the feels.

I had listened to this story previously, where Herb was performed by RC Bray. Andi Arndt sounds great as always, and her voice worked well with both narrators. Joe Arden was fantastic as Herb, different to Bray, of course, but it still kept the integrity of the character and the performance. I’m not a huge fan of re-casting mainly because reviews look weird when the named narrator is different, not to mention, if you loved it, it feels like your story has been changed, for this though, Joe is so good and there voices have the same sort of tone, that is worked well.

Hugs all round

This was a short, sweet and delicious 2 novellas in one, another Lauren Blakely wonderful story.

A chance meeting with a smart sexy Brit yes please!!

Shane East and Erin Mallon as usual are fantastic and give us a masterclass in flirting.

Joe Arden and Andi Arndt together is just pure joy, they are the best at witty banter and instant chemistry.
