Doesn’t make a good audio book (IMO)

This book is a blueprint for setting good goals. While pretty “goal setting 101”, its always good to have a refresher, and I’ll get the print version of the book for doing just that...that said, from my perspective, the tools and techniques suggested here would be easier to follow in written form to readily reference the various steps suggested in forming, reviewing, and achieving goals. While the book references an online library with such information, the site contains only a simple 2-page example of a goal. It would be helpful (and the book would receive 5 stars) if it contained a PDF as do other similar audiobooks (or if the online site contained the information the book suggests it contains).

Don't Make Another Goal Without This Book!

I listened to the entire book while taking notes within the last 24 hours! I couldn't wait for the book to be released so I could consume the information right away and attack my 2018 goals. Michael Hyatt's system really is the missing link to effective goal setting. It's a system I wish I had learned back in elementary school. Now that I know where I went wrong with goal setting, I can make corrections. I now have a renewed focus and direction for creating a solid, daily, weekly and quarterly action plan for this year. I look forward to rejoicing in my victories both big and small! Thank you Michael.

For anyone who struggled to execute

This is Michael’s best book yet!! The action plans are so helpful in seeing where you system breaks down, and his motivating approach makes sure you are both intellectually and emotionally engaged to completion! Love it!!

Ripoff for readers

What would have made Your Best Year Ever better?

got the book on audible, talk about resources online. its a sales pitch to pay for books or seminars. I listen to over 100 books a year and this is the first time I have been ripped off by the author like this.

Sorry folks...nothing new to see today..

Nicely written and read but honestly, where’s the originality...this is 101 stuff on pretty much every self development course.

Thrilled to review the plan that worked for me!

This simple to plan and implement has the "why" answered! The part to keep me on track, even through the mundane middle days of achieving. I HIGHLY recommend this book to you. It may be the best investment you'll make this year!! It works

Same stuff neatly packaged

chances are if you're into self improvement you won't learn anything new here. And as Michael rightly says, it's not about how or what to do but actually doing it that achieves success.

I did like the focus on all domains of life, actionable strategies, and quick read.

Religious Content

Because I am not religious, I didn't connect with some of the content. I would have like to have know that this perspective was taken by the author prior to my purchase. I wouldn't have purchased.

There's so much here that feels doable!

I saved so many clips in this book, yet want to reread it to capture the content I know I missed. My first step in this journey this year will be to find my why. I highly recommend this book! And I seldom ever leave reviews...

Nothing new

I’m a huge fan of MH and have followed and listened to him for years now but was really
bored with this book. It offered me nothing I haven’t heard by others before. Seems like this is just put out there as a product to lure you into further courses.

Use this simple 74 stage system to feel worse

Every one of these dudes has an infallible system. This one lets us sail through goal setting to our best year yet, apparently.

By the 27th step I was exhausted just trying to remember what each contrived letter in the acronym was. The delivery is honeyed American cookie voice-over style and the content refers to prayer and God more than I could stomach.

The advice is contradictory to other goal-setting books and falls into the "unwieldy system" category. Only adopt it if you are resilient enough to reach over-ambitious goals.

I Learned So Much From This Book

I'm a mess. Anyone who knows me knows that I cannot, for the life of me, achieve even the simplest of goals. (Shrug) I don't know, I'm just all over the place. I listened to this book 3 times (I really like to commit important things to memory), and then I created a S.M.A.R.T. goal for myself and thereafter used the After Action Review on it. Omg, omg. I was actually successful and REACHED my goal! I'm so so happy for this book I could marry Mr Hyatt bear his children. (I hope his wife doesn't see this). I'm on my fourth S.M.A.R.T. goal since I bought this book, and, yes, I recommend it highly - not just for sad, hopeless, non-goal-achieving human beings like me, but anyone and everyone out there. (Seriously? He ought to pay me for this review)...

Good sound read

The book makes complete sense. Micheal hasn’t reinvented the wheel. Instead he shows how to turn the wheel more effectively.

An excellent fulcrum for a 180° turn around.

I have listened about 3 times already and will do so again and again until the detail turns to my reality. awesome read
I recommend this to anyone wanting to get a grip on a life in chaos.

Brilliant

My biggest take away - Activation Triggers

I've listened to lots of goal setting audios but i have to say this one makes perfect sense, and I'm already taking action and implementing the steps already. I also know why I was falling short of my goals now.

Too much fluff

The concept is good but the book contains way too much fluff. Plus a pdf of the steps would have been nice.

Extraordinarily Tedious

The basic premise of the book is fine, and there's some useful stuff here, however, it's an extremely tedious listen. Each useful principle is buttressed by pointless anecdote after anecdote. its really difficult to determine useful information from the author's constant need to illustrate his point with pointless stories from his, or some made up person's own life.

if that wasn't bad enough, his delivery is so overly enthusiastic it becomes grating after a while. I'd love a stripped down version without the pointless filler.

Wrong information threw me off

There were more than a few errors early in the book about accomplishments of people I knew to be incorrect that threw me off. Then towards the end he started talking about the principles of “eat that frog” saying that to accomplish things you do the easiest thing first, which is completely contrary to what eat that frog even means. Was a waste to me.

Great book on goal setting

He has a very unique perspective on goal setting. So now I have to go back through the book and actually implement the strategies. Also the author has a great narrator voice, if I can't stand the voice I won't listen but it wasn't the case with this one.
