I needed to forget for a night; and, when I woke up that shame-filled morning after, I knew I had to get out of town fast...and college was the perfect excuse.

I hadn't talked to him in four long years, until this morning, when I found out dad died. That man loved me like I was his own and now he was gone. No matter the issues between Blade and me, I couldn't let him go through that alone.

I guess I was going to have to go home and face the music for my heinous actions. I had hopes that Blade and I could move past it, that we could become family again. We were all we had left in the world.
