Publisher's Summary

Her life was taken from her. Now, she wants it back.

Lori had it all until that day: the perfect marriage, a job she loved, and a beautiful home in a small town. But when a tragic car wreck takes her husband's life and leaves her hospitalized, she has to learn to live alone again. Her friends look out for her, or so they say, but they don't believe her when she says she's being followed.

Her counselor says she's suffering PTSD, and her sister says she's paranoid. But Lori knows herself better than anyone else does, and she's certain someone is watching her. What she doesn't know is why, but she'll do anything to find out - even if it costs her life.

Tormented by nightmares, mood swings, and self-doubt, Lori's life is on the brink of collapse. Every move she makes will leave you begging for the truth until the very last moment in this brand-new psychological thriller full of lies and conspiracies.

So bad that I could not finish it

This is an abysmally bad audiobook. The writing is poor and the narration is - incredibly - even worse. The narrator mispronounces words unbelievably often: "pellow" for "pillow," "ambu-LANCE," "arthr-EYE-tic," "see-atica," "ricocheted" as 4 syllables, "Armarni" for "Armani," "fermiliar" for "familiar," and "skeptism" for "skepticism." Get the picture? She also uses bizarre cadences with weird and illogical pauses as well as emphasizing wrong syllables. For example, "Lori tried not to burst - into tears." What the heck? And "so be IT" instead of "so BE it." As for the writing, what about this? ""Lori thought that she would snap, broken in two like a rubber band." A middle schooler should be able to do better than that. Do not waste either your money or your time on this book.

Very good story.... however...

There are some juvenile areas; the author describes something's/situations and makes it so long... unnecessarily. Other areas jump around with little explanation. The story and characters are well rounded and the narrator did a great job! This is my first Jay Nadal&Adam Nicholls book, and it will not be my last. This was also my first Carmina Manley listen...very good!!

Terrible narration

The narrator was just awful and it took away from enjoyment of the story because it was distracting. I listen to several books in a week so I know what a good narrator should sound like.

HORRIBLE!

The only thing worse than the audio reading of this book is the storyline. Everything about it was juvenile - the descriptions were comical. I wish I could give it no stars.

I couldn't finish. So bad I dont care how it ends.

Between the "f" bombs and the haulting and choppy narration, I just couldn't finish it
