Publisher's Summary

I wanted to be a unicorn. I wanted to be a lawyer. I wanted to be an astronaut.

But the thing I really wanted to be, more than anything else, was a little less like me.

It was only recently that I realised not wanting to be me was at the heart of every dumb decision I ever made. And so now I am writing this book containing all the life lessons I wish someone had taught me.

A book for the teenage girl in me. And for every teenage girl out there. Because the most powerful thing you can be when you grow up is yourself.

Frank and fearless, You Got This openly explores topics like self-respect, body image, masturbation and mental health, making it the perfect companion for young women.

A book adults need to read too!

I'm a lover of all of Bryony"s books and to be honest, I needed to hear this as an adult. It's absolutely fantastic!

brilliant at usual

lovely book, although not quite a teenager myself anymore, Bryony absolutely nails the perceived impossibility of youth and implore you to give to your teenage friends or relatives

Amusing and well read

Good narrator. Amusing, with some good messages that strike a chord. Aimed more at teenagers than adults.

Lovely Bryony

I have most of Bryony's books - I listen when I run. I am 67 this year and wish i'd had access to a book like this when I was at a young awkward age full of self doubts. I love her kindness and empathy. Even though this book wasn't aimed at my generation - I still appreciated it enormously. x

I needed to hear this

as with all Bryonys books, true and something we all need to hear as women, perfect. I read it as a 36 year old "teenager"
