Inspiring and energizing

I picked this up because of the reviews and was not disappointed. Author is a great speaker and has a lot of wise observations. His tone is positive and encouraging. I learned from this book and am inspired to put more effort into my writing. Many thanks for putting your book and thoughts "out there".

Inspiring; Encouraging; Honest

Jeff's vulnerable, humorous honesty is compelling. Keep reading or get writing? Jeff Goins inspires both!

Jeff Goins gives a good refresher

Jeff Goins summarizes a lot of information that I have read or heard or lived before. However, as one who has spend too much time putting off the writing, this book reinforces the simple truth. which is that writers must write. Books like this one are a good push for those of us who have been teetering on the brink for too long.

Author is someone I'd like to have a beer with

This is a motivational book with much less practical knowledge than I hoped for. Performance is pleasant which more than makes up for lack of meaty content. If you need a little 'you can do it'... This book is for you.

If you want to know what a platform is and how to get noticed, read Art of Start - Guy Kawasaki also because this book isn't very practical in terms of instructions.

Wow. Loved it.

I loved the casual conversation. Great stories. Very instructional and highly practical. Great lessons from both a professional view and a personal view. I will be reading it again and again. Thanks Jeff.

Better for non fiction writers

Though there are some helpful hints here to building a platform, it's more focused on freelance and non fiction work

Great book for writers (like me)

This book is a fairly short inspirational read - short on specific advice and long on how to develop the attitude of a writer. This is the type of book you actually read, cover-to-cover, put away, then read again next month when you need some inspiration.

A Call To Wear The Shoe That Already Fits

An awesome read for those who doubt they can write but long to. It's good for a writer of any stage or mindset really. I'd read it again.
