  • Prepping For The End of The World (And For Everyday Life)
    Apr 10 2026
What would you do if you woke up tomorrow and had no power? Or the grocery stores had no food? Or there wasn’t any clean water anymore? What would you do if all of a sudden you were expected to live a completely different lifestyle than you are used to? Can we really rely on the government or anyone else to take care of us? In today’s episode, Rachel talks about prepping for the end of the world. Over the past couple of months, she has felt a deep urge to protect her family and be ready for a potential crisis. She discusses her beliefs growing up in Sweden, and how they have changed over the years and after experiencing Covid. Then she shares real actions her family have taken to feel less panicked and more ready for anything that may come our way. Ultimately, the goal is to feel grounded and taken care of - with that power coming from you instead of anywhere else. • How Gardening Changed My Life (and why you should grow your own food, too!)
    Apr 3 2026
Today’s episode will inspire you to put your hands in the soil and grow something. Rachel shares her entire history with gardening, from how she got started to her intuitive process now. The beautiful thing about gardening is that you can just begin, and nature will take it from there. Tending to a little plot of land has changed Rachel’s life for the better. This daily work of time spent in the garden working with her hands is shifting something so primal inside of her - and showing her maybe there is another way to live. Maybe growing our own foods is the way out of the existing system that is draining us and taking us away from our children. If we want something to change, we have to be that change. You can start right now by growing some food. Tune in to get inspired. • Ask Rachel: Behind Everything, There’s a Mother
    Mar 27 2026
It’s time for another Ask Rachel episode of the podcast - and the questions that came today were really incredible. It was a very mother-centered episode, with guests asking about setting boundaries with their mothers, how to find moments of self-care when you’re a new mother, and how we can really make a change in the world when we are so immersed with raising our kids. Rachel also opens up about a topic she doesn’t speak on much - her relationship with her own mother. It’s a very intimate episode focused on the people who hold so much, and somehow continue to keep giving. Tune in to open your heart. I've been listening to this podcast for a little while on other platforms and now that I have it on Audible I'm going to listen to them all over again because I love it so much! Thank you!

It is with a very heavy heart that I am hitting "unfollow" and "unsubscribe" today. For a long time, Rachel Brathen (The Yoga Girl) and her podcast, From the Heart, were my go-to sources for peace. I looked forward to every episode, post, and story. I was deeply drawn to her yoga practice, her nourishing recipes, the glimpses into her family and farm life, and that signature calming voice that felt like a deep breath in a chaotic world.

Unfortunately, the platform has shifted significantly. While everyone has a right to their own opinion, I firmly believe that for a brand built on wellness and tranquility, social platforms and lifestyle podcasts are not the place for intense political discourse. We all have different viewpoints, and in an already polarized world, I turned to this community specifically to find a reprieve from that noise.

Lately, instead of feeling grounded, I leave her Instagram stories and recent episodes feeling a sense of rage and high anxiety. It has become the exact energy I was trying to escape. To maintain my own mental health, I have to step away. The "calm" has been replaced by a tension that no longer aligns with why I started following her in the first place.

I truly hope this review is taken as it is intended: as an invitation to revisit and refocus on the roots of why this platform was created. I miss the old Rachel, and I hope one day the content returns to the light and healing that once defined it. However, it’s hard to stay tuned "From the Heart" when the content now speaks more to the head and the headlines than the soul. Until those priorities shift back, I must say goodbye for the sake of my own well-being.

Truly....from the heart.
