The lack of emotion from the ai story telling is painful!

I just couldn’t get into this story, I was distracted by the dull and emotionless ai reading.

virtual voice is awful

exciting scenes? monotone. harrowing escapes? monotone. climatic sex scenes? monotone.

VV makes every character sound the same, you can't differentiate because no one really has a voice. The story falls flat when there's no imagination in the voices.

also, even fictional scientists should try reading I, Robot sometime. This story reminds me of The Step Ford Wives, too.

Terrible A.I. narration

If audible is going to start using AI for their books, I will be deleting my account. The AI narration was horrible. When the nairation wasn't monitone, the inflection was in the wrong places. Basic words were mispronounced. It was difficult to figure out which character was supposed to be talking. I only made it about halfway through the story before I couldn't take it anymore. The story itself seemed OK. I may have been able to finish it had there been an actual talented reader.
