Publisher's summary

Jalon Chupp has a past he isn't proud to claim. He's worked hard to overcome his youthful mistakes, and he has recommitted himself to his faith. When he receives a sweet note included in a piece of misdirected mail, he can't help but write back. Soon, the letters he receives from Phoebe are the highlights of his days, and with a hopeful heart, he suggests they meet in person.

Phoebe, too, looks forward to every single one of Jalon's letters. Living with her overbearing aunt, Phoebe doesn't have too much to look forward to. But when Jalon suggests they meet, she panics - although she has shared some of the deepest longings of her heart with him, she hasn't been entirely truthful about her past. But when Jalon shows up at her aunt's doorstep, everything is revealed. And she can only pray he'll forgive her for holding back the truth.

In order to reach beyond the errors of their pasts, both Phoebe and Jalon must put their faith in something - or someone - bigger than either of them could pen.

Love grows slowly

Loved this first book of the series. Started slow and very engaging. I was hooked by chapter 6. I’m starting the next book ASAP.

First in series

It was a good storyline but it becomes frustrating at times. It's as if the lead female character could have avoided lots of problems and received easy solutions if she had just actually talked to people around her. It causes the story to drag on unnecessarily. Other then that, it has great characters and I'm presently reading the next in series. Great narration. JC

Good Story

I Love Kathleen fuller's Stories. This is another series in which I enjoyed Very much. I will now listen to the last one to this series. The narrator Callie Beaulieu. really knows her to read each character.... I will pursue this one from Escape....

This is a sweet romantic story that is more than just a romance.

This is a sweet romance story that I would say is more than a romance. It is a story about life. It is a story about wrong decisions made, regrets, and how love made up the difference when it really counted. I would recommend it to age 13 to senior adult.

I really wanted to like this book

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Nice premise, interesting for awhile, but then it just got boring. Struggled to finish. I so wanted to like it. Best part is the little boy.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

Predictable.

What does Callie Beaulieu bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I enjoyed the narration. Well done.

Do you think Written in Love needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No
