love it

I am an avid user of the pomodoro technique to track my writing and the amount of time I spend revising, writing, outlining, or proof reading. This has allowed me to get a whole lot more work done.

Disappointing

Good production. Good, but very basic, contents. I’m disappointed because I wanted more in-depth technical info. These books are more motivational and generalized. For instance, rather than technique for outlining, the author recommends creating an outline, unless of course you don’t want to. I want to. So I bought this book. But it didn’t give me much how-to.

Author Needs help with basic grammar

Sandy gets plenty of credit for writing and selling books. She has, and I haven’t - hence 3 stars. However, when the author’s grammar misfires every couple of paragraphs, she leaves me struggling to take her elementary advice about writing seriously. Were Winston Churchill around for support, maybe he would come to the author’s defense when I snipe that her repeated use of prepositions at the end of sentences creates a challenge “up with which I will not put.” Transitive verbs and active voice help. No editor?
