very helpful

I just started my again writing. I've always loved it and would love to right full time. I am on chapter 5 of my first real book and felt I needed a little help. this book gave me the encouragment to keep going. when I would take a small break from my novel, I'd listen to this. she has lots of tips and relatability. With this book, I'm confident I will eventually "finish the damn book!" LOL

For all writers, especially because of honesty about the business

Kudos to Probst for writing an honest book. I appreciated her deep dive into numbers, writer’s angst, and some other topics that don’t always appear in a discourse/memoir on the business of writing. Enjoyed!

Great resource for romance writers!

This book was full of useful advice and information I could use to improve my writing and manage a career in writing romance. I signed my first publishing contract this year and am trying to learn everything I can about how to be successful, and hearing about Jennifer's experiences was very helpful. I will listen to this audio book again and again! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great book on the craft and business of writing romance!

Brilliant!

Thank you for writing this amazing book! I’ve been writing since a very young age like you, but I never dared to call myself a writer until recently. Your experiences and amazing career path that you shared opened my eyes and helped
me realize how the whole publishing industry works. Two years ago I almost landed a contract for my first romance novel but the editor wanted me to make so many changes that it didn’t feel like my book anymore. It was a great learning experience.
I love all the details of your writing schedule and this helped me learn how I function and why I do certain things. I do not understand the negative reviews. When I see shallow reviews I know that person hasn’t read the whole book. Haters gonna hate. If you’re a writer but haven’t been published yet, this is a must-read! Highly recommended.

This is not a book for writing assistance

As a published author myself, this book was recommended to me. This should not be advertised by Amazon or Audible as a book to begin writing or further your craft. This book is about the author and what she considers to be the life of a writer. I know more about the author than I do writing now that I've listened. I don't really care to know what she wears when she sits down to write, that she likes to listen to people's conversations at restaurants, etc.
If writing is something that interests you, do not waste your time on this one. This book needs to be advertised differently.
