Publisher's Summary

Bull riding is all Gavin’s known for years, but when it’s time to retire, he can’t let go of the reckless lifestyle. He finds a job that brings him to a small-town Texas ranch and face-to-face with the woman who snuck out after their one-night stand.

She can pretend she’s over him, but he’s not letting her go that easily.

Maize Bishop spends her days cooking and baking for her family’s bed and breakfast. The last thing she has time for is a relationship, especially when there are no single men within a hundred-mile radius. When a mysterious newcomer flirts with her over drinks, she gives in to his mesmerizing green eyes and goes home with him.

Now that he works for her family’s ranch, she’ll avoid him at all costs.

There are only so many places to hide, and keeping her distance is easier said than done. After months of giving her space, Gavin’s tired of waiting for Maize to admit what he knows they both want - a second round between the sheets. It may only take eight seconds to win a championship, but he’ll prove to her that he can go all night long.

She’s too young, he’s too arrogant, and together, they’re electric - the perfect recipe for disaster.

Wrangling the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be listened to without listening any of the other audiobooks or series, but if you prefer to listen in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.

I’m Not Maize’s Biggest Fan

The first two books in this series were great and I was excited to dive into Gavin and Maize’s story. I’m surprised the ratings aren’t a little lower, to be honest. Gavin is a dream...but Maize...she’s annoying and highly immature. It’s funny because more than once Gavin mentions that even though Maize is so much younger than him, she seems older because of her maturity level...what a joke!! She’s perpetually rude to Gavin. They literally have a one night stand and then she pretends for months on end that she never met him that night. She’s hot and cold and a terrible communicator...completely exacerbating! As you might expect, she finally gets her act together when it’s almost too late. Narration was well-done but the storyline was not as enjoyable as most Kennedy Fox books. It was a lot better toward the end at least! The heroine simply was not worthy of the hero imo! 3 star story. 5 star narration.

Wrangling The Cowboy!

Wrangling the Cowboy is a fun age-gap cowboy romance. Gavin a retired bull rider takes a job at Circle B Ranch training horses not knowing his one night stand Maize is a cook at the local B&B. Maize is shocked to see Gavin again, she avoids him wherever possible and pretends that they never hooked up.

I wasn’t a fan of Maize’s character she seemed quite snippy and immature. I loved it when the tables were turned and she had to chase Gavin but then she was only good to him for four days before having a tantrum that he hadn’t given her what she wanted. I loved Gavin’s character he definitely deserved a medal for hanging in there with maize for so long.

Stephen Dexter’s narration was amazing, he really makes this series.

Outstanding Story & Narration🎧 Loved->Maize💘Gavin❣

I am loving this series and its characters. I’ve been looking forward to Maize and Gavin’s story since meeting them in “Catching the Cowboy”, Adam and Rowan’s story. After their encounter I had a felling their story was going to be an awesome one and Kennedy Fox did not disappoint one bit. Their story drew me in right from the start and captivated my attention the entire time. Maize Bishop, 25 years old and single, she runs the kitchen in the family’s bed and breakfast, feeding guests and the ranch hands. She works hard and her goes is to have her own catering company. She has not had time to date and after a relationship gone bad with one of the ranch hands she refuses to get involved with anyone who works at the family ranch. One night while out partying she meets a gorgeous guy who is passing thru town, she does something out of the ordinary for her, she has an extremely hot one night stand. Having to go to work she leaves before he gets up, no numbers exchanged no expectations. So when it turns out he is the new worker on the ranch she thinks it is best to ignore him and act like they never met. OMG, swoon worthy Gavin, I loved his patience and how he never gave up on Maize. Well for the record, he is a champion bull rider and trains horses, training even the most stubborn fo them so he figured he’d break thru Maize’s walls eventually and have some fun while doing so. I loved how everything plays out in this book, the story is beautifully plotted with plenty of drama, a touch of angst, some great light-hearted humor and family shenanigans, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride, I loved every minute of it!

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They are awesome at portraying these characters, humanizing them as they bring them and their story to life. I love how natural they sound as they perform the characters voices, they take each of the roles and make it their own. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen🎧

Sweet cowboy romance!

Wrangling the Cowboy, an Audiobook by Kennedy Fox is the story of Gavin and Maize. They have one wonderful night and that’s it. Until they realize he just got a job at her family’s ranch. But, she refuses to acknowledge him or their previous meeting.

Enjoyable story and great characters. Her constant refusals were a little disconcerting. I understand her motivations…and then, the way he deals with things later! I just laughed!!!

This Audiobook was narrated by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter who are wonderful!! The inflections, tone, and interpretations of the material and characters made this story a joy to listen to!!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this Audiobook.

Wrangled

First of all I love these narrators! They bring to life Maize and Gavin. Kennedy Fox has done it again. I was hesitant to read/listen to this series as I am not a western fan. It is so much more than just a western... From the first chapter in this audiobook I was hooked. I will for sure be listening to the rest of the series. Definitely a must read/listen!
It is instant chemistry between Gavin and Maize. Maize carries baggage from a past relationship that crushed her belief in love. She refuses to give him a chance. Gavin is determined to be with her no matter how many times she denies the connection. After a few bumps in the road the two finally get together for good. Gavin makes Maize work for it. Love all the banter and spicy interactions. Kept me interested till the last word. Love the Bishop family and Circle B Ranch.

Ahhh Gavin!

I'm so happy the Bishop family is always ready to welcome me home. This family and their ranch will always hold a special place in my heart and I absolutely devour every book in their world. I love this family as much as they love unconditionally.

Lia and Stephen did a wonderful job at bringing Gavin and Maize to life in this audio. Their voices are easy to listen to and they sounded natural as these characters.

After a steamy one-night stand with Gavin, Maize disappears the next morning expecting to never see him again. Little does she know, fate is about to step in, in a big way! Watching their relationship grow was enjoyable and Maize's fears were relatable if not extremely frustrating at times. I really enjoyed the way this author duo flipped the script on the typical romance story. It was refreshing and real.

I will never get enough of these characters and after the way the epilogue unfolded, I'm dying to get my hands on the next book in this series!

Great read with great narration

Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter did a great job bringing the characters and their story to life.
Omg I loved everything about this book!!!
Wrangling the Cowboy is book 3 in the Circle B Ranch Series, featuring the second generations of Bishop’s and this is Maize Bishop and Gavin Fox’s story.
Gavin is starting a new life on the Circle B Ranch and the last person he expects to meet is the woman he had a night of fun with before she vanished on him. Maize may have walked out in the middle of the night thinking she would never see this man again but she can’t walk away from her duties as chef on the family ranch so now she needs to put on her big girl panties and deal with seeing this man on a daily basis.
Sizzling chemistry and witty banter all add to this entertaining read, I was captivated from the first page and there was no putting down until I had read the final line because I needed to know if this couple who at times frustrated the life out of me actually got the happiness they both deserved.
I fell hard and fast for Gavin and I adored Maize so all that’s left for me to say is I highly recommend you one click this gem.

Entertaining

This was an entertaining read that had me invested from the first to the last chapter. I really liked Gavin and Maize, in fact I like the whole Bishop family . Gavin has led a hard life as a Bull rider and now faced with retirement he takes a job on the Circle B Ranch.

Fate works in mysterious ways and he is shocked, but not unhappy to meet up with Maize again, after all she left him after a night of passion. Gavin is determined to show Maize that they could be good together, even though she is equally determined to avoid him.

I really liked these two together, the push and pull of their relationship made for interesting reading. The chemistry between them is intense, the banter at times witty and the secondary characters were as entertaining as the main.
Narrated by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter, their performances were enjoyable, their voices easy to listen to and they really brought the characters to life for me.

The chase will have you swooning....

Another hit in the Circle B Ranch series! Narrators Lia Langola and Stephan Dexter storytelling was spot on. This time around with get a one-night stand, age gap romance story of Gavin Fox and Maize Bishop. Gavin is a newly retire bull rider and finds a job in a small town on the infamous Circle B Ranch with the Bishop family. Unexpectedly he comes face to face with the woman again that left after their hot and steamy night.

This read was filled with the chase. The want to prove that the one night was meant for more. Although the connection is there Maize is all for avoiding it at all cost even pretending that she does not recall who Gavin is. To add she has been burn badly before and prefers to stop before things get too deep. But what happens when you constantly push the person away and not take the risk? Her heart and mind is at constant battle of wits and will have to figure out what she wants before it is too late.

Such an charming read filled with banter, swoony moments, and entail family that you would love to be a part of. Gavin will have you falling head over heels for this bull rider and push you to point that will have you constantly wanting more.

Fantastic

I'm rarely if ever disappointed with a Kennedy Fox book. I've now read every book in this Circle B Ranch series and each one has left me with the happiest of happy feelings. I don't know if it's the cowboys, the family setting or the glorious writing but every time a KF book from the Bishop's arrives in my kindle I smile from page 1 'till the epilogue and this is no different. I remember Maize's beginning in her parents story (Chasing Him Bishop Brothers #3) so to see her grown up is a treat. She's stubborn as heck and the push and pull between her and Gavin was everything. I cannot wait to see what happens next in this series and honestly hope I never come to the day I wont visit the Bishops. Add to this the stunning narration from the Queen of KF, Lia Langola and a personal favourite Stephen Dexter and I couldn't possibly rate this less than 5 stars. I volunteered to leave an unbiased review. All opinions herein are my own.

Kennedy fox has done it again!!
.

I loved Gavin from the beginning and how Maize was so much like her dad and her Mam from the small amount of info we got for her in her dad and Mila book.

I loved catching up with the cousins and the parents and grandma Rose of course. Got to love the circle B ranch series and the only problem is the long wait for the next one... it too long.

If you not read any of the Bishop boys or circle B ranch you should you won’t be disappointed!

My Thoughts on Wrangling the Cowboy

Gavin oh Gavin oh Gavin. I was a big fan of his in this story. I have definitely come to realize that Kennedy Fox sure knows how to write an amazing leading man. He was almost impossible to not love. Maize on the other hand took a little time for me to warm up to her. Despite knowing that she had her reasons for wanting to keep Gavin at arm’s length, I felt she was a bit too mean at times. I didn’t think he deserved her anger but she kept dishing it out. By the end though she had grown on me a bit and redeemed herself of course and I was happy for them both to get the ending they did. And even with all that being said I really enjoyed this book overall. It was well written and got me invested in the characters both the ones currently holding the main character role and those who I loved in previous books of the series. I’m looking forward to what’s to come in this series and from this author duo.

Both narrators were fantastic. I loved the accents. The emotions, Just all of it. They really enhanced the story for me with their performances.

🔥🔥🔥🔥

Just spent the last few days in my fave place and another epic love story has come from the Bishop tribe, this time between career driven Maize and retired bull ride Gavin. Wrangling the Cowboy is an age gap, small town romance read with all the magic Bishop Ranch feels. I don’t normally do age gap but I gave this one an exception and I really enjoyed it. All the Bishop girls are strong minded and Maize is no exception! Gavin and Maize’s witty banter is entertaining and chemistry is on fire 🔥 do yourself a favour and get a bit of Maize and Gavin in your life! To really add fuel to the Maize and Gavin fire, get them on audiobook 😜 thank me later…

What's not to love about Circle B!

I adore the Circle B Ranch books and Wrangling the Cowboy is no different. Gavin and Maize were a great couple. Gavin an ex pro bull riding champ, at 35 wants to settle down and do what he loves training horses and Maize a chef on her family's ranch seeing all her cousins falling in love at 25 is wondering if it will ever happen for her. I found this book lighter on the angst for Kennedy Fox but it was full of heart and I adore the small town feels to the ranch setting. Stephen Dexter is fast becoming a favourite narrator after listening to this series, he does such a good job of capturing that southern gentleman vibe and that's exactly what Gavin is.

After one heck of a night together months go by before they meet again when Gavin accepts a job at Circle B Ranch but what I didn't expect was for Maize to act as if she doesn't remember him at all. Gavin clicks onto her games and keeps pushing and chasing her until she finally admits she really does remember the night they shared. The chemistry is great and the back and forth was entertaining. I loved that Gavin made her work for it once she finally began to open up to the idea they just might work. Another great addition to the series, add in the extra little interwoven storylines for potential couples to come and I can't wait for more.

cowboys are my weakness

Loved this. Maize and Gavin were great together- loved their chemistry. I'm not a fan of age-gap romances but this one didn't seem to bother me. The story was low angst and filled with laughs. Listened to it in one sitting.

Narration was fabulous - Stephen Dexter as an ex-bull riding cowboy, yes, please. Lia Langola - an amazing narrator - they make a great pair.

Maize and Gavin!

The time has come for Gavin to leave his rodeo career and the lifestyle that goes along with it in the past. He has come to town to pursue an opportunity at the Bishop ranch, but Maize was a surprise he wasn’t expecting.

Maize isn’t looking for love or a relationship especially with a cowboy. When she meets Gavin the sparks fly into a night neither of them will ever forget however she had no intention of ever seeing him again so finding out he is now working on the family ranch was a revelation she could have done without.

Maize was determined that one night was all they had but Gavin was just as determined that one night was not enough. Let the battle begin!

The perseverance that Gavin showed as he tried to prove to Maize that he wasn’t only there for a good time but a long time was inspiring to watch and although she was reluctant fighting the chemistry and feelings between them was a fight she wasn’t going to win. The narrators were a perfect choice for the characters as they brought out the heat and humor of the story.

Gavin was a dream but Maize is frustrating as hell

Glad it a happy ending but it took more than half the book to get there!! Maize's character drove me crazy. Gavin was a dream but I preferred Kennedy Foxs earlier books. So far I have found these books a bit hard to get through.

Since when do KF characters give up on love so much?? I'm finding it infuriating and wishing I hadn't brought the entire series of the circle b ranch but since I have I will read them but I don't think I'll but any of her newer stuff. Seems to have gone down hill. Hunter and Lennon and gemma and tyler. Those series and the bishop brothers are the ones I loved.
