Publisher's summary

Bull riding is all Gavin’s known for years, but when it’s time to retire, he can’t let go of the reckless lifestyle. He finds a job that brings him to a small-town Texas ranch and face-to-face with the woman who snuck out after their one-night stand.

She can pretend she’s over him, but he’s not letting her go that easily.

Maize Bishop spends her days cooking and baking for her family’s bed and breakfast. The last thing she has time for is a relationship, especially when there are no single men within a hundred-mile radius. When a mysterious newcomer flirts with her over drinks, she gives in to his mesmerizing green eyes and goes home with him.

Now that he works for her family’s ranch, she’ll avoid him at all costs.

There are only so many places to hide, and keeping her distance is easier said than done. After months of giving her space, Gavin’s tired of waiting for Maize to admit what he knows they both want - a second round between the sheets. It may only take eight seconds to win a championship, but he’ll prove to her that he can go all night long.

She’s too young, he’s too arrogant, and together, they’re electric - the perfect recipe for disaster.

Wrangling the Cowboy is a complete stand-alone and can be listened to without listening any of the other audiobooks or series, but if you prefer to listen in order, start with Hitching the Cowboy as the characters and families do interconnect.

Every story sucks you in

My first tip as always is if you haven’t read the first stories start with those you could read this as a stand alone but it’s just so much better when you already know all the other characters. You won’t regret it! This story is a perfect mixture of lust and love and the characters make you root for them from the beginning. I can’t wait to see where the story goes because as always the ending opens up a new story line for another couple and I love that!

The mature cowboy woos and wins his woman

After reading about Maize and Gavin in the teaser at the end of book 2, I knew I liked these two characters. Wrangling the Cowboy did not disappoint! Turns out Gavin was a sweetie, even I thought he'd be more of a gruff, Alpha type. He's definitely a confident guy, but his playing around days are over. He comes to the ranch to train horses and meets his one night stand who ran out on him the month before. He's handsome (of course!) and a champion rodeo star, now retired and looking to settle down now that he's 35. Maize is a successful chef and is 10 years younger. In her personal life she is a dating novice. She started to become slightly annoying in how immature she acts, things that could have been sorted out with a conversation dragged on. But, somehow Kennedy Fox redeems Maize before I got completely irritated! (😁) Gavin tells her to make decisions like a grown up before their romance could continue (after two false starts, totally Maize's fault). Hot sex was not a problem, (whew, they certainly have chemistry)! I loved how Gavin was true blue and completely head over heals and patiently woos Maize until she realizes love is worth any gamble. They had great banter and were surrounded by supporting and loving friends and family. Can't wait for Connor and El's story next!!!

Gavin and Maize’s memorable love story!

Wrangling the Cowboy is the 3rd book in the Bishop Circle B ranch series and focuses on Maize and Gavin. There is an age gap between the two, although they are both at the point in their lives where they want to settle down and start a family. After a successful career riding bulls, Gavin wants to slow down and find someone to settle down with. After a hot night with Maize, Gavin is enamored and is only even more excited to see her at the Bishop ranch, where he's now employed. But Maize pretends not to know him because of her own negative past experiences with a cowboy, and the push and pull between the two builds a lot of sexual tension throughout the book.

I love how persistent Gavin is and how he reassures Maize of their relationship. Maybe it's because he's 10 years older, but his patience, and his care and tenacity at pursuing Maize speaks to his confidence at knowing who he wants and his true feelings for Maize. Maize tries to avoid Gavin at the ranch, but in the end, she can't resist him!

I listened to the audio of this with Stephen Dexter and Lia Langola, and they did a great job as always. Stephen Dexter's accent, his confidence in portraying Gavin totally made this a thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Sweet cowboy romance!

Wrangling the Cowboy, an Audiobook by Kennedy Fox is the story of Gavin and Maize. They have one wonderful night and that’s it. Until they realize he just got a job at her family’s ranch. But, she refuses to acknowledge him or their previous meeting.

Enjoyable story and great characters. Her constant refusals were a little disconcerting. I understand her motivations…and then, the way he deals with things later! I just laughed!!!

This Audiobook was narrated by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter who are wonderful!! The inflections, tone, and interpretations of the material and characters made this story a joy to listen to!!

I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this Audiobook.

The Horse Trainer and The Boss’ Niece

Kennedy Fox knows how to write cowboys and their love interest. Outstanding story with lots of steamy heat. I loved this 2 Nd generation story. You can’t go wrong with a Kennedy Fox book. Her books are the one click buy just on her reputation of previous books written.

Gavin and Maize

Love a good old chase story. These two are running circles around each other and yet the fire can’t be put out. Fun story and enjoy being back at the ranch.

Narrator makes it good fun.

Entertaining

This was an entertaining read that had me invested from the first to the last chapter. I really liked Gavin and Maize, in fact I like the whole Bishop family . Gavin has led a hard life as a Bull rider and now faced with retirement he takes a job on the Circle B Ranch.

Fate works in mysterious ways and he is shocked, but not unhappy to meet up with Maize again, after all she left him after a night of passion. Gavin is determined to show Maize that they could be good together, even though she is equally determined to avoid him.

I really liked these two together, the push and pull of their relationship made for interesting reading. The chemistry between them is intense, the banter at times witty and the secondary characters were as entertaining as the main.
Narrated by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter, their performances were enjoyable, their voices easy to listen to and they really brought the characters to life for me.

I am ADDICTED to this series!

Maize has been one of my favorite characters since the beginning and I was so excited to get to read her and Gavin's story! Normally I am not a big fan of the off and on/hot and cold tropes, but I think this one was done well.

Gavin is a former bull rider and Maize is the head chef at the B&B on the ranch. (side note: All this food talk, had me so hungry!!!) They have a one night encounter early on and Gavin is hooked from them on. Maize is a little more cautious and tries to run because of her past. Both these characters were swoon-worthy and had such chemistry together!

The steam, banter and humor in this book were top notch. I think this one was my favorite so far in the series. I am looking forward to Elizabeth's story, as well as Kenzie's!
