What's going on with the Magic?!?!
This book starts right where Ruthless Magic ended and even though Rocío Lopez and Fynn Lockwood took the initiative that ended the 'contest' by exposing it, their work is not done... and their work to expose the dystopic system, is seemingly nigh unto impossible!
But, the bigger story is the magic! What's going on with the Magic? Could the Magic actually be alive, does it have feelings, or is it just a resource that can be used up?!?! And, why among all the Magic users is it that only Rocío seems to be able to feel it as an entity, she's actually taking the time to try to communicate, to understand what it wants/needs...
Rocío and Fynn race to fix the world, but just don't quite get it done in this book, leaving us impatiently waiting for the next book... (Too many books have left me in this predicament lately, gurrr!)
Again, Jennifer Jill Araya and Austin Rising make a great team narration team!
