Publisher's summary

“You get one chance with me. You blow it, that’s your fault.”

James Tully isn’t what you’d call a forgiving sort of guy. He lives by a code of ethics - honor, trust, fidelity. And if you break those values, the way Sawyer did six years ago when he accused James of cheating on him? You’re out. But six years is an awful long time to go without companionship, so when he meets a cute little sub at The Black Room, he can’t help himself from wanting to take their anonymous liaison one step further.

“What if we’re no good together once the masks come off?”

It’s been six years. Sawyer’s never really been able to set James behind him, but considering that James makes it very clear he hasn’t been able to forgive, and forget any time he runs into Sawyer around town, Sawyer supposes it’s past time for him to move on. And when he meets a strong, caring Dom at a masquerade party, he can’t help but fall a little in love, dreaming of a new future. That is, until the masks come off...

Welcome to Worthington, Texas, where the heat doesn't just rise in the summer - you'll feel it all year long in these stories of older men and their younger lovers. Every audiobook in the Worth It series can be listened to on its own, but with so many familiar characters to love, why stop with just one? This audiobook features a leather cowboy Dom, his hopeful, eager submissive, and the second chance of a lifetime.

Wonderful story!

I loved this story. It had me tearing up a little, but it's a sweet story. I found myself pulling for the characters to get their HEA. I would definitely recommend!

A great, quick listen

I actually really enjoyed this quick listen. It was about redemption and forgiveness and both characters were easy to listen to and care about.

This was one of the better books in this series.

THE SUBCONSCIOUS HAS A WAY OF KNOWING THE TRUTH

An emotional roller coaster of thoughts and actions of James and Sawyer, exes who haven’t gotten over each other. Sawyer, much younger than James had a low self-esteem that caused him to sever his ties with James based on a lie. James, one who doesn’t forgive, has been verbally vicious with Sawyer every time he sees him. The two somehow find each other, unknowingly and form a sexual relationship, behind masks, that make them want to take it to another level and reveal themselves in order to do so. It still takes an intervention to get them together to find their HEA.

Narration is wonderfully done and keeps the listener glued to the story; especially during the sex scenes and arguments. It made me feel as if I was there.

Good quick listen

This has a great narrator which kept me listening. I've been intrigued by Sawyer and James since they were introduced and I was slightly disappointed, it's not a bad story just wish it didn't drag on so much in the beginning and we got more of them as a couple before the quick ending.

Couldn’t put it down

This is the ninth book in the Worth It Series with well-developed characters (second chance romance). James and Sawyer broke up 6 years prior due to a lie that Sawyer believed and showed he did fully trust James and why James would want to be with him. James couldn’t believe James didn’t trust him and did take the moment to clear the air. During a BDSM Masquerade the two rekindle their connection. Once their identities are revealed, they have to learn how to forgive and keep building on the trust they found in one another during their BDSM scene. I love this series. Each book I have listen to I haven’t been able to put down until it finished. The narration was well done.

Worth remembering

This was a very interesting book to listen to. I don't know much about bdsm and couldn't get into that part of the story. I did however enjoy the story line about James and Sawyer. James being a ranch hand and Sawyer having a creative type job. Both having a past with each other leading to a bad breakup and being pulled together again was quite the undertaking.
