Publisher's summary

On Teralia, where magic has hidden for thousands of years, Darkness arises to challenge the Veil spell. The barrier is weakening.

Magic is returning to the universe. Only an outsider can prevent the destruction of the Glade and the people she loves.

On Sanctuary, the supporters of Tenybris have taken control. The universe teeters on the brink of all-out war.

Standing against them are Katheryne, the Foundation, prophesied to rid the universe of Tenybris forever, and Derren, the other half of her soul. Along with a small band of extraordinary friends, they need to raise an alliance against Sanctuary but incur terrible losses along the way.

Unseen, the Beast plots the release of its master. But Tenybris's freedom is not enough to sate the monster's depravity, as it sets out to corrupt and destroy whatever and whomever it can.

This is the beginning of the end. Who will remain standing?

Best So Far

This book, in my opinion, was the best in the series so far. I really enjoyed the story of the first book the most, but the action and suspense in this book were the best. I'm still impressed with Rutherford's writing ability and the way he describes the world he created. This really is a good series and very different from most of other book series.

The narration was good as usual. Very fluid and a great complement to the writing of the book.

I would not start with this book in the series if you are thinking about it. You really need to go back and read from the beginning if you want to get the most out of this book...

Five stars!

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author, publisher, or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. I was NOT required to write a positive review and this reflects my honest opinion of the work.

Book 2

Any additional comments?

: Like the two previous books, Worlds of the Never doesn’t disappoint. It delivers the action and solid storyline I’ve come to expect from Colin Rutherford. I will be waiting for the next book in the series to make its debut!

Can't wait to listen to book 3

This is the second book in the Never series, and it meets all expectations I had from reading the first book.
Rutherford increases the tension as we read. There is the fight between good and evil, and evil seems to be the stronger.

Eve of Destruction

Any additional comments?

Epic fantasy blends with science fiction in a fully imagined universe populated with diverse creatures. There is a juxtaposition of hobbit-like lifestyles with advanced technologies including manufactured wormholes/portals and space travel, intermingled with magic. Although you could have read either the prequel or the first volume on its own, you are now in the midst of an unfolding saga and really need the sequential story to follow the scale of the adventure as the author deftly weaves threads and plots from diverse worlds. There is loss, reunion, family, romance, battles and fights (also things blowing up but no car chases)--excitement galore as the universe and its survival is explored.

I listened to the Audible which is clearly narrated and found myself again swept away into the Never as the gripping drama unfolded. Taking advantage of technology I slipped back and listened again to an earlier chapter when I lost track of how a character had developed to its present state; there are many worlds involved and the action flips rapidly back and forth among them. And there is a cliffhanger in this novel--I'm racing into the final book of the series!

This book literally has everything!!

I received this book for free from the author/narrator for an honest and unbiased review.

This book does have it all. I am really starting to enjoy his style of writing. I won't hesitate to read any book by CJ Rutherford. The narrator did a great job, there were slow areas but just a few. Not enough to detract from the book or story.
Worth a credit - definitely

Happy Reading/Listening!!!

Dragons ahead

This is a great follow up to Souls of the Never. Picks up the story and runs. Surprises both good and bad. "This audiobook was provided by the author/narrator/publisher free of charge in exchange for an unbiased review via Audiobook Blast."

I'm still enthralled by the series!

What did you love best about Worlds of the Never?

I said it for book one and it's still true, the originality of this series is brilliant. I'm yet to read anything like it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I don't think I can choose, I said Catherine last time and I still really like her, but there are so many other interesting characters that I also love so now... there's too many to choose from!

What about Katie Welburn’s performance did you like?

Katie's narration grows on me with each book. Her character voices are very consistent, I can tell who is speaking almost all the time now without needing to be told that can't be easy to achieve.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There are too many to pick just one and I don't want to create any spoilers, so... you'll just have to buy the book to hear them yourself.

Any additional comments?

I'm really enjoying this series, but it's definitely one that has to be listened to in order to make sense so make sure you start from the beginning.

There's a cliffhanger at the end too, but the next book is available so you won't have to wait to get the end of the story.
