Cliffhanger....

I didn't realize going into this book that it leaves off with a cliffhanger. This is a new to me author so I'm not sure if or when there will be another book. There is an age gap, I'm not apposed to them, but the H/h are 25/16. Hopefully the h will be a little older for the next book. It is written well I like most of how it is playing out and looking forward to (if there is) a 2nd book. The narration isn't bad but you can hear where they had to edit spots.

A couple points

The narrator was good, but the editing was distracting. It took me out of the moment as they were clearly recorded in a different setting. I liked Lou, but the age (16) didn’t seem to make sense. Especially the fact she was a college student and working as an admin.

Zach’s motives were a little confusing, especially why he told her to work for him. I appreciate the work it off idea, but I think it could have been a little more developed. However, since this is in the voice of Lou, it may be more of another book.

I was a little disappointed that it ended in a cliffhanger, but not so much that I wouldn’t listen to the sequel. Overall it was good and I could commit my time to hear more about these characters.

Ends in cliffhanger!!

I asked to receive this free review Audible book and wrote this unbiased review. I had to take some time to cool off before writing this review otherwise I would have only given this book 3 stars. I hate when a book ends in a cliffhanger and you don't know this ahead of time. By time the next book comes out I will have probably forgotten many key points. From what I have seen the second book has not even been written. I love age gap differences but give us a h that is older than 16 when the H is 25. How are 16 year old normal students in college? If it hadn't been for the above reasons this would have been a five star book.

This book was captivating from the start. It is well written and I liked the character development. The narrator does a great job of portraying the emotions and personalities of these characters and bringing them to life. There were a few places where editing needed to be done.

It sucked me in!

I felt like I waited for the steamy scenes but there really aren't any you could still feel the chemistry between h and H though....... I really don't care for stories with a love triangle, But with that being said, it did suck me in and I just wanted to keep listening to see what was going to happen next.... As far as narration goes the female narrator did well even with accents and with the male voices... I'm not sure what was going on at times with the volume though.. it sounded like the narrators voice would fade in and out from time to time. I am a little frustrated because I didn't realize that this book was a standalone... The book left me hanging with a cliffhanger!!!!
