Do you feel like your coaching sessions are just going in circles after trying your best to help your clients change but getting nowhere?
Have you ever felt like there must be a more effective way to empower your clients to embrace change and achieve remarkable results?
You’ve got the certifications, the right gear, and even the perfect ambiance in your coaching space.
But something's missing…
Your clients listen but don't seem to move forward. It's like watching a car stuck in the mud — lots of effort, but no progress.
Frustrating, isn't it?
If you’re wondering what the missing link could be, you’re in the right place.
Statistics show that motivational interviewing had a positive effect in 74% of the tested cases.
For doctors, the success rate was even higher at 83%, and psychologists weren't far behind with a 79% success rate.
With numbers like these, isn't it time you added motivational interviewing to your toolkit?
This book will take you by the hand and walk you through the fundamentals of motivational interviewing, helping you turn those frustrating sessions into fulfilling transformations.
Imagine being the catalyst for your clients, helping them break free from the loop they're stuck in and speeding down the road to their goals.
This book could be the change that shifts your entire coaching journey from stagnant to stellar.
And here’s a fraction of what you will discover within:
- The real might of words that make all the difference — get the lowdown on motivational interviewing and why it’s a game-changer (it's like having a cheat sheet for the human mind!)
- How and why you need to be the guide, not the guru — step back and let your client take the wheel
- How to master open-ended questions, affirmation, and other useful techniques — these are your tools to build that bond and help folks change
- Why you need to break down those walls keeping your clients from getting fit — they will be thanking you while doing their victory laps
- Effective ways to encourage better eating habits… help your clients say goodbye to crash diets and hello to real, lasting change
- Matters of the mind — explore how motivational interviewing helps in the mental health field, and become the anchor someone needs in their storm
- How to measure the success rates and keep tweaking your game (hey, even pros need feedback, right?)
And much more!
Success in coaching isn’t about having more tools; it's about having the right ones.
And as the stats suggest, motivational interviewing just might be the right tool to skyrocket your client success rates.
With the help of this book, you can discover how harnessing the power of words can be your game-changer.

These days, no one in America feels immune to violence. But now, in this extraordinary, groundbreaking book, the nation's leading expert on predicting violent behavior unlocks the puzzle of human violence and shows that, like every creature on earth, we have within us the ability to predict the harm others might do us and get out of its way. Contrary to popular myth, human violence almost always has a discernible motive and is preceded by clear warning signs.

Story
Based on seven years of ground-breaking research and hundreds of interviews, I Thought It Was Just Me shines a long-overdue light on an important truth: Our imperfections are what connect us to each other and to our humanity. Our vulnerabilities are not weaknesses; they are powerful reminders to keep our hearts and minds open to the reality that we're all in this together.

Story
Models is the first book ever written on seduction as an emotional process rather than a logical one, a process of connecting with women rather than impressing them. It's the most mature and honest guide on how a man can attract women without faking behavior, without lying and without emulating others. A game-changer.

Effective strategies to support in coaching journey using MI
Words That Work is a well organized book that provides techniques and strategies to support your journey in coaching clients using Motivational Interviews (MI). There were helpful definitions along with examples to help you apply MI in your coaching. It mentions SMART goals as well as how this form of therapy can be used as a stand alone practice or in conjunction with other forms of therapy such as CBT. Some take aways I grasped from MI is that I need to be focused on the client’s language, show empathy, and ask lots of open ended questions without judgement. I really liked that this book is backed by research and gave practical guidance on not only how to implement strategies, but also why you should or should not do something and what could result if you did or did not do something. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking into coaching others or wanting to improve their therapy sessions and results with clients.

This is an entirely new technique in coaching
Words That Work gives examples of what are good things to say to a client and which words can become triggers for spiraling into problems. The motivated Interview process has apparently been around for a while. However, it was new to me. I can see how adding this technique to your coaching arsenal is productive. The mastery of this concept is something that sounds like it takes a bit of practice. While there are not do's and don'ts as absolutes, I think it is fair to say only a coach who is secure in their practice will venture out to try this approach. Much harm could come to the patient if the coach triggers some devastating responses from a client and doesn't know how to bring the patient back to a state of self control.
