Falling for a wolf on a business trip was the last thing I expected—Other than getting pregnant at 43.
I flew to Eugene for a dreaded team-building event,
Kicking off with a tubing trip down the Willamette.
Wearing a swimsuit in front of my coworkers was bad enough,
But it turned into a disaster when I nearly drowned.
A hunky firefighter dove in and saved me,
But I didn’t need mouth-to-mouth to know Pierce was my mate.
He asked to show me around town,
Taking me to a shifter rock club run by his wolf pack—Before showing me his bed later that night.
I’m only in town for a week,
And as a she-bear from Massachusetts and a wolf from Oregon,
We couldn’t be further apart. It’s a complicated mess, but it doesn’t end there.
Turns out someone from work caught on to our shifter secret
And he’ll stop at nothing to make us the story of the century.
Pierce and his pack step in to help me,
But Pierce doesn’t know I’ve got a secret of my own—His baby growing in my belly.
Steamy shifter love scenes and an HEA inside! No cheating or cliffhanger in this standalone romance. Readers 18+.

This one has all the cozy, grown‑folks goodness I expect from her plus a little extra seasoning thanks to a certain reporter who does not know how to mind his business. And the best part? Our FMC is a reporter too, so the double‑agent energy had me entertained the whole way through without giving anything away.
The cross‑species romance between a bear shifter and a wolf shifter was everything. Two adults from totally different worlds, literally living on opposite coasts, still trying to figure out what choosing each other looks like. I love a romance that remembers people over 40 are still learning, still growing, still messy, and still absolutely worthy of big love.
The audiobook is smooth, warm, and easy to binge that classic Meg Ripley formula of low angst, good heat, and a storyline that keeps you listening way longer than you planned. It’s comforting, it’s hopeful, and it hits that sweet spot of “grown but still figuring it out” that I adore in midlife romance.
Absolutely loved it.

Holly was never a huge fan of the annual get to together with her company. She really didn’t want to go tubing down the river. Next thing she knew she was being rescued by the last man she ever expected to meet.
Pierce and Holly’s struggle to admit that they are mates has many turns. They are different in multiple ways. Their story to finding their HEA is fun and challenging. I loved them as a couple and can’t wait for the new series and all the unexpected family we will meet.
Catch of a lifetime

Holly never expected her company retreat in Oregon to change her life. She was already dreading the team-building float down the Willamette River—especially with Kyle, the office creep who doesn’t understand the word no, hovering too close for comfort. The river is terrifying enough for a woman who carries a cautious she-bear inside her… but when Holly is swept into rapids and knocked unconscious, everything shifts.
Because that’s when Pierce finds her.
Pierce is a firefighter—and a wolf shifter—who doesn’t hesitate to dive in and save her. The moment he pulls her from the water, he knows what his wolf has been waiting for: his fated mate. Their chemistry is instant and undeniable, but what makes this story special isn’t just the heat—it’s the emotional certainty beneath it. These aren’t twenty-year-olds stumbling into love. They’re adults in their forties who recognize what fate feels like… and aren’t afraid to claim it.
The age representation is refreshing and deeply satisfying. Holly and Pierce aren’t starting from scratch in life—they have experience, scars, and responsibilities. Watching two 40+ characters find passion, connection, and a future together feels empowering rather than fantastical.
But the romance doesn’t exist in a vacuum. When Kyle uncovers the existence of shifters and decides to exploit it for fame, the stakes skyrocket. Holly’s courage truly shines here. Instead of hiding, she strategizes—pretending to cooperate while secretly protecting Pierce and his wolf pack. The tension builds beautifully as you wait to see how she’ll outmaneuver a man who underestimates her.
And just when you think things couldn’t get more complicated… there’s the pregnancy.
Falling for a wolf on a business trip? Unexpected.
Getting pregnant at 43? Life-changing.
Holly’s secret adds emotional weight and urgency, and the protective instinct that rises in Pierce and his pack makes the climax incredibly satisfying. The found-family energy of the wolf clan, the fated-mate pull between bear and wolf, and Holly’s fierce determination combine into a story that’s equal parts tender and thrilling.
