An Amazon Charts, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today best seller

She can’t ignore a cry for help. But in this remote hunting town, it’s open season.

Gwen Proctor escaped her serial-killer husband and saved her family. What she can’t seem to outrun is his notoriety. Or the sick internet vigilantes still seeking to avenge his crimes. For Gwen, hiding isn’t an option. Not when her only mission is to create a normal life for her kids.

But now, a threatened woman has reached out. Marlene Crockett, from the remote town of Wolfhunter, is panicked for herself and her daughter. When Gwen arrives in the small, isolated rural community, Marlene is already dead - her own daughter blamed for the murder. Except that’s not the person Marlene feared at all. And Gwen isn’t leaving until she finds out who that was.

But it may already be too late. A trap has been set. And it’s poised to snap shut on everyone Gwen loves. Her stalkers are closing in. And in a town as dark as Wolfhunter, it’s so easy for them to hide....

Great ending to a series!

I felt like it took half the book to get things moving...like alot of time setting the stage... but I kept listening... I loved the last half so we'll, I couldn't take a break hardly...only to work and sleep...
But they forgot to wrap up what happens with "V" the girl accused of murdering her mom.at the beginning. She was on the run, refused by Gwen, Sam and kids, then captured w/ all of them, but once they're all rescued, they didn't say anything about her... really, last you hear is she was in the basement w/ the kids waiting for Gwen to come back for them... and they wind up helping save Gwen (kids and Sam) but there's nothing said about "V" and same with the missing girl originally... the author goes into great detail at the beginning about her, a teacher who puts her in an unsafe vehicle...for her family's sake, but nothing ever happens explaining why that teacher did that, knowing it was the wrong car, and you never hear of "Ellie's" experience after the wreck, it just skips to the end she's rescued... and very odd...
but overall, very entertaining story...
I don't think a book 4 would be good...I think the whole Gina Royal /Gwen story has played out... no one would reasonably have THAT many things more to happen to them.

still a good series. still going strong.

Despite being the third installment the Stillhouse Lake Series doesn't seem to be suffering in terms of momentum or quality storytelling. This one is still edge of the seat thrilling. I finished it over two days and am keen to know what happens next.

Great Read!

I didn't know that there was a third book in the series and I was super excited to listen to it. I was not disappointed at all, this book had me on the edge of my seat throughout and I actually couldn't wait to get back to work on Monday to finish the book up. If you were a fan of the first two books you will like this book. I believe the ending makes a way for more books to follow which is exciting.

Exciting but heart breaking

Great narration twists and turns. Gwen was strong as always. Lainey and Connor make the story very interesting. And wow sam his secret blew my mind I didn't see that. Definitely worth a listen.

Love this series

I love a book where you don’t know who to trust and the plot is complex. Can’t wait for the next one.

Thrill Ride

I am addicted to this series, and the books just seem to keep getting better. It is a fun thriller to read, More of a "light" read for the genre. The characters are interesting and fully developed though, and the plot is intense. I really enjoyed it.

I wish they'd make a series for tv out of this. The action is great and there's always a twist or turn.

Pretty Surprised!

Most sequels are boring and predictable...and from reading some reviews I was afraid that this was going to be the same. Well, I’m sure glad I took it upon my own reading of many reviews and decided to read it. Glad I did. It was very good. Great storyline too.
