Publisher's summary

Magnus de Wolfe, who takes after his Viking forefathers, has his story told in a unique and powerful way.

The story of a love nearly lost… but for an angel.

Paternal grandson of England’s greatest knight, son of the man known as “Nighthawk”, and grandson on his mother’s side of a Norse king, Magnus de Wolfe has the blood of elite and royal warriors flowing through his veins. With older brothers who are much accomplished, Magnus needs his time to shine.

But his moment in the sun could potentially burn him.

Delaina de Courant is a courtesan. That’s putting it kindly. A beautiful, intelligent and accomplished woman, that beauty was noticed by a nobleman when she was young and he took her as his mistress. Through the nobleman, she was educated and taught the finest skill and manners, so the result is the most sought-after courtesan in all of England. Delaina is very selective on the men she keeps and she is wealthier than God himself because of the gifts of monetary tribute given to her by hopeful suitors.

Until Magnus comes along.

When the chaste knight from a powerful, noble family falls for a woman his parents would not approve of, Magnus finds himself caught in a maelstrom of emotion–duty versus his heart. His family’s reputation against Delaina’s known profession. It’s a horrific battle until Delaina realizes that the love she’s always wanted–and the knight she’s always hoped for–is simply out of her grasp.

Or is it?

Help–and redemption–come from an unexpected source in this turbulent and exciting de Wolfe Pack Generations novel.

Great!

Kathryn never disappoints me! She is a master at spinning a tale.
Speaking of masters, Brad can drag every emotion out of me with his narration. I so look forward to hearing him narrate Kathryn’s books. They are like two peas in a pod. Their words blend together as no other can.

WOW! THIS ONE WAS OUTSTANDING!

I have pretty much enjoyed all the books by Kathryn Le Veque and this one is really outstanding! The story was exciting and kept me invested in everything that happened from beginning to end. There was never a part where I was not surprised by an unexpected outcome. I was never really able to guess what would happen around the next bend and couldn't help but continue until the conclusion. I was never disappointed and was so happy for these two to receive their HEA! This one is so worth the listen and one I will return to often.

The narration was outstanding as always because Brad Wills always delivers in this genre.

Another Good Story without LeVeque Heat!

Listen, we all know LeVeque is a hell of a writer. Which is why I continue to read her books. However part of her formula that made many excited about her unique writings were: 1- her detail to history, 2- Her exciting unpredictability and 3- Her steamy sex scenes. I am disappointed that she seems to be moving more away from her incredible sex scenes that are usually peppered throughout her entire books to just now having a quick romp and that’s it. I can find MANY authors that do the same thing. Loved Brad Wills although I wish she would engage some other good narrators from time to time like Tim Campbell or other great narrators she has used ( Rise of the Defender & The Thunder Lords)
This pattern of downplaying sex in a “romance” novel has gotten tiresome and I am no longer waiting with bated breath for the next as I use to. I guess all good things must come to an end but at least I can still enjoy the older books over and over!
