Talk about a hot, action packed story! I love Brooks! He’s a big teddy bear but isn’t afraid to let his claws out. Add Selena, a Street smart, high school teacher with a dislike for gangs and you have a powerful couple!

I love the way they interact and how Jayden is instantly drawn to her but gives her space, as best as he can. Selena is a tough girl, but deep down she’s a little broken.

The two are on the case as drug dealers and students come face to face. Class rooms should be a safe haven but when they turns out to be far from the case it sets Selena and Brooks on the trail of something very hot and dangerous.

Things aren’t always what they seem and in the end, you have to trust your instincts in order to survive.

A Thrill Ride!

Jayden Brooks is a wolf shifter and a SWAT Team leader. Selena Rosa is a high school language arts teacher, and someone who is trying to keep her students away from drugs and gangs. During an early scene, Selena is accosted by a gang member trying to establish some street credibility, and Jayden and his SWAT team end up saving her from the teen gunman.

At the same time, there’s a new player in the gang and drug scene, and police and SWAT team members are trying to figure out his identity. He’s bottling a fake heroin drug and putting it in energy drinks. Also, the hunters are still actively trying to kill the shifters, and it’s making Dallas a dangerous place to be for wolf shifters.

Ms. Tyler does a masterful job of fleshing out each of the separate story lines, and them weaving them all together at the end. Jayden and Selena face some challenges and have opportunities to let feelings grow and develop. However, they start out with a strong connection, and it only builds with their shared experiences.

The narration is first-rate and the pacing is steady. The tension builds as the story unfolds and this keeps the listener fully engaged in the outcome. Well done!

Is it time for Brooks' The One? Can he handle her

Brooks has wondered about the One. Does every wolf really have one? He's about the meet his and is she a handful. Not so much at first, but this woman has some real surprises in store. She's a werewolf too. A gang hostage situation in her classroom triggers her wolf genes. When Jayden rescues her, he knows there is something about her. She feels the same about him.

They have some steamy, rough days ahead of them. Learning control is not going to be easy. With the hunters after them and some problems in the department along with a bad gang drug situation life just got a whole lot hairier.

Another Paige Tyler winner.

This book is a bit different from others in the series. A strong romance, action, problems and angst like the others, but Jayden's love interest will have a tough road to travel.
