This is a great book; this is the first book in the Federal Paranormal Unit Series by Milly Taiden and narrated by Lauren Sweet. Trent is a wolf shifter who works for a Federal Paranormal Unit, who is a hot alpha male. Ericka also works for the Federal Paranormal Unit because she has a special gift/power, if she touches something of the victim she can sense what happened. However, Ericka keeps her gift a secret because she has trust issues. Trent has been attracted to Ericka from the beginning and has recognized that she is his mate, but he has tried to keep his feelings hidden. This book is full of action, suspense, and hot sexy alpha males. If you love hot paranormal books, then you have to read this book and other books that Milly Taiden has written. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

The narrator Lauren Sweet did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. She did a great job with the different characters and their voices.

If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I can’t wait to read the next book by this author. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop until the end.

Interesting crime fighters with wolf partner trying to woe his mate who has a painful extra sensory gift to talk to murdered victims. They are having a physical sexual relationship while looking for a killer.

Almost but ....

Almost smart and tight and sexy. Almost...but not quite. I hate that because so much was good, hence the three stars. Everyone has seen at least one episode of CSI or Law and Order or Major Crimes or something related to detective work. Since we all know what basic police work should sound like I am not sure why the author didn't trust those elements. ughhh very frustrating. I think that town would have been safer if they had let the regular cops handle it. The love story was sweet and hot at moments. Sexy times were written full on which is why the weak/weird/unreal detective work blew the story for me. The narrator sounded too young to my ears. The voice at times was kinda high pitched. I enjoy books with sex and crime narrated by strong voices that have some depth and base in them. I have got to listen before I buy. oh well. Overall, this story was almost .....but no.

mysterious and sexy. so much fun to listen to -even after reading... narrator was a little difficult to listen to, for me! probably just pitch of voice. otherwise great listen!

This was an intricate detailed investigation. I enjoyed the team teasing and then switch to work mode. The team cared for the victims.

It was similar to other paranormal teams with the difference that they seemed to be after human criminals.

Which scene was your favorite?

I enjoyed team banter.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The Times Trent cared for Erica, not the sexual encounters, but the times she was drained by the investigation horrors.

Good story line. Fun characters. Plenty of steam.

How much Trent was protective of Erica and didn't have a problem with her special gift. He was just so sweet and didn't even care if he had to look silly to make her smile.

This was a great story, made me laugh with how the team are with each other, enjoyed the intense emotions between Erica and Trent, then there was everything happening with the case they were working on, it was a great blending of everything and made a great read and can't wait until the next one comes out and get to know the other characters more

I love a good paranormal romance and this did not disappoint. I would recommend things book and I can't wait to listen to the other books in the series.
