Publisher's summary

Baker turned werewolf - there’s no way this could go wrong.

Rosalyn Mercier had a clear dream in life - to become a baker for the rich and famous. She spent the first 24 years of her life working towards that. Then she was bitten by a rogue loup garou (that’s a wolf shifter to non-supernaturals), and that dream went up in a puff of vanilla-scented smoke.

The council of supernaturals task Rosalyn with tracking down the rogue and bringing them to justice. She’s put under the watchful eye of brooding alpha with a dark past, Cole Loxwood. Together they must work to help Rosalyn come to terms with her new life while hunting down the rogue who is leaving a trail of bodies in their wake.

As Rosalyn digs deeper into the identity of the rogue she comes to realize that no one around her is quite what they seem. She’s soon left with no idea who she can trust. As the bodies pile up Rosalyn must race to find out who the rogue is before it’s too late.

A Great Listen

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request, and have voluntarily left this review. For the most part life is good, Rosalyn is working to became star baker and doing delivery work to make ends meet. Then she has a run in with a rogue loup garou. Nothing will ever be the same. Her best friend is acting strange and council of supernatural has paired her with the local Alpha to find the rogue that changed her. Everyone seems to hiding things from her and she's not sure who can be trusted. Between the well written characters and the suspense building plot you'll keep listening longer than you intended. Once your finished you'll be looking for the next book in the series.

More, please

Wolf Moon, the first book in the Wolf Ridge series, is an entertaining urban fantasy. The plot and characters are well-developed and engaging. Jayne Hawke did a fantastic job with the world-building, and the premise is fascinating, it definitely captured my attention. I love anything with fae and magic, and Wolf Moon delivered. I can't wait for book two!

Excellent dual narration by Hannah Hart and Edward Fox. They captured the nuances of the characters and the animations flawlessly, bringing the story to life. Overall, this was an enjoyable urban fantasy listen, and I strongly recommend it. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.

Loved this book

Oh dear now I have to wait for the next audiobook to come out but I am patient.
I totally enjoyed this story and had I have been reading the book I’d say it was a page turner. It’s a slightly different take on the supernatural community but that’s what makes it unique. Really want to know what’s going to happen to all of the characters. I worked out who the villain was after one scene but that was almost 3/4 of the way through the book.
I loved the way the narration was done because the story is mainly Rosalyn’s you’ve got nearly all Hannah’s work. But when a male is the lead speaker Edward speaks up with his strong baritone voice.
So bring on book 2 I say.

Wolf Moon

Jayne Hawke! How are you going to end book 1 like that?! The story was intense right from the beginning and I found myself trying to piece all the mysteries together. As it started to come all together...BAM! Cliffhanger! Can't wait for book 2.

Narration was good. I loved Edward Fox's voice! Hannah Hart's accent through me off hardcore but I still liked her voice. Some of her pronunciations killed me but it did give Rosalyn a bit more of a mystique.

I thought this was going to be more of a paranormal romance but it was more just paranormal and mystery but was still a great story.

Great Start to the Series!

This was my first Jayne Hawke's book. This is the first book in the Wolf Ridge Series, a paranormal romance. Wow! I loved it! Roselyn is sassy, and strong. Cole is a strong alpha werewolf. I liked their banters. The characters are well developed and likable. The story has Fae, Shifters, Witch, and Magic. The storyline is entertaining, funny, intriguing and suspenseful. The world building is well done and interesting. The duet narration is wonderful! Hannah Hart and Edward Fox are perfect as Roselyn and Cole. I love their voices together. This is a great team author/narrators. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to the next installment in the Series, Wolf Howl.

Good start to the series

I enjoyed the book, but didn't love the cliffhanger. I don't mind a cliffhanger, but I'd like to leave the story feeling like it finished before the cliffhanger. Overall, I did enjoy the story, but I think Ms. Hawke will need to continue to refine character development in future stories. Sometimes, the characters acted in ways that seemed to be a total contrast to their personality. I understand the stresses they were under, but some of their interactions were stilted and not in character.
Overall an excellent start to the series and I do look forward to reading future books. I think Ms. Hawke is a talented up and coming author.
Thank you to Audiobooks Unleashed for my free copy to listen to. I'm glad I took time to start this series and look forward to future books.

WTF! Really WHY?

How can you leave a book like that seriously!!! how can you finish a book like that seriously!. I listen to this Book after reading all the reviews on Goodreads I should've known better,  I should've listen to the people on Goodread this book the ending as a writer you should never and a book like that I hope the second one is not like this, I thought this one was a little choppy but at the same time I wanted to finish it it was good the narrator really brought it home the writing was horrible and seriously bringing three different dudes in and want to be the killer was not cool how can you finish a book like that how can you finish. That they kill the person then put it in the trunk of the car and then there's no ending they said that they're going to the council and that's it that was it then the credits Horrible Horrible Horrible. I liked your book from the beginning but at the same time this is not how you end a book Rosalie might've had a clear dream that she was going to be a big baker but seriously if you wanted to make her a baker you should've pushed it a little bit farther just saying that her mother really wanted her to be a baker over and over again does not make her a baker in any possible way. I'm only bringing her father and wants to the whole entire story a SEVEN hour story and you're bringing her father once!! I mention him countless times he's not dead.
