Publisher's Summary

Timberlyn is determined to get answers when she returns for her sophomore year at Ravenwood Academy for the Exceptionally Gifted.

After a brutal attack at the end of her freshman year leaves her questioning her very nature, she sets out to find the truth about Ravenwood and the students who walk the academy’s halls. One thing’s for sure - nothing at Ravenwood is as it seems.

When she arrives on the campus, she learns that she has a new roommate who’s supposedly just like her and a new class that promises answers to her questions. And then, there’s the more personal question of whether or not she can trust Alarick Wolf.

She gets the answer to that question soon enough, but no one else seems eager to share their secrets. That’s never stopped her before, and it’s not stopping her now.

Timberlyn knows there is more to the story than she’s getting. Delilah haunts her dreams, and even though her friends tell her to leave well enough alone, that’s not Timberlyn’s style. Nothing can stop her from finding the truth - about Delilah, about the school, and about herself.

Nothing can stop her, that is, except the truth itself.

If you thought last term was exciting...

I mostly enjoyed listening to the Audible version of this book. Timberlyn is determined to return to the Academy after spending the summer at home. One reason is to get away from her mother who was determined to smother her after she was "attacked" by wild animals at the end of the last term. The other reason is to find out what happened to Delilah and Amy, who the heck she shot, if her friends were really vampires, and why she never turned into a werewolf after being bitten by Mr Wolf. Just z few things to look in to.

Her werewolf status remains a mystery for awhile. She doesn't smell like a wolf to the other wolves, but eventually that part becomes clear. Alarick Wolf's feelings for her also become clear, at least up to a point. Mr Wolf is still determined to capture and turn human females attending the school, and Timberlyn is determined to stop him. That is what will bring about the battle at the end of the book. Things get kind of confusing and maybe a little too weird. It is, of course, a cliffhanger.

I was gifted a copy of this audio book by the author. My review is voluntary.

twists and turns galore

Timberlyn heads back to school for another year, still wondering what exactly happened to her. She doesn't really feel different, but she knows that something important is about to change.
There's a lot going on that will leave you wondering exactly what is happening not only at the school, but in the town itself.
I listened to the audiobook and Vanessa Moyen does an amazing job as always

Great story

Great story! Lots of twists and turns! You never knew which way to turn! Who’s on your side and who’s not! I can’t wait to read or listen to the next one. Great job by the author and narrator.

Good Continuation

This is a good continuation to the series. We start to get some answers and of course just when things are starting to go in the right direction a wrench is thrown in and we're at a cliffhanger with oh so many more questions. There is a lot going on with this series and sometimes I get the feeling that I'm missing something somewhere but overall I'm enjoying it and looking forward to see where this goes. Narration is again done well and made listening to this story an even more entertaining experience than reading it.

Friendship, romance, mystery, and intrigue

This is the second novel in the Ravenwood Academy trilogy of young adult paranormal mystery by Lena Mae Hill. The series should be read in order. It’s fun and exciting, so I do recommend it to fans of this genre.

The characters are interesting, and I’m enjoying getting to know them better and watching them grow. Our main character, 15-year-old Timberlyn, can sometimes be impulsive and melodramatic, but that makes sense for her age. She is learning about her own values and the kind of person she wants to be, and I love that she is willing to stand up for herself and her friends. Timberlyn’s classmates have their own quirks and flaws, and everyone seems to have secrets.

I liked that the romance is a slow burn, although I wish that Alarick wasn’t so possessive and jealous. The story is interesting, with interspecies tensions and conflicting goals straining relationships. So much happens so quickly toward the end, it felt a bit disjointed to me.

This quick read easily held my interest, and I look forward to finding out what happens next!

I really enjoyed the narration by Vanessa Moyen. Her performance was well paced and easy to understand, and I love her character voices. I think this is a great choice for listening.

I was provided a free review copy of this audiobook by the author via StoryOrigin; I volunteered to provide an honest review.

Kept my interest...

The book was well written and easy to listen to. The plot kept my interest and I found myself really wanting to know what happens to Timberlyn and Alarick and if they will get their happily ever after. The cliff hangers are so hard to handle that I found myself wanting to get the 3rd book to find out what happens. This book is a solid 3.5 stars! I would recommend for a light fast read, especially if you just read something heavy or a long series and need something light, fun and not too heavy or thought provoking.

The narration was again amazing like I noted in the previous book review. I would most definitely listen and seek out more books read by Vanessa Moyen.

A love story and a paranormal mystery

Year One was a big mystery with a hint of romance. Year Two is a a love story with a bit of mystery. Timberlyn and Alerick spend quite a bit of time exploring what is between them. There are a lot of relationship shifts in this book. And other shifts too. The huge cliff hanger at the end of Year One - oh yeah, that gets addressed to and only leads to more questions.

The second half of this book delves into those questions and just when you think you are figuring out what is is going on throws you for another loop. The danger and intensity really ramps up by the end. I thought I knew what was coming and did get some of it right, but there were a few things I did not see coming at all.

Whenever the characters ages are mentioned it is jarring to me. Timberlyn is supposed to be 15 in this book. They behave more like college aged students than high school students.

This is book 2 in the Ravenwood Academy series and does end with a cliffhanger. This is a series that needs to be read in order as the books build on each other. Fast, exciting reads.

Overall, I thought the narration was well done. Lost of emotion, clear dictation. There were a few spots where the volume was uneven. The Vanessa Moyen has a tendency to whisper, especially male voices, and sometimes her voice droped so low that I was unable to make out what she was saying. Most of the time she was clear and easy to understand. This is an honest and voluntary review of an ARC

Great Second Installment!

Can I say cliffhanger?? I loved every second of listening to this book. The narrator is one of my favorites, and even with having to stop, restart, and pause constantly between the needs of my family and job, I could always tell exactly who was talking as she does such an amazing job at voicing each individual character. The plot thickens as the story progresses and Timberlyn and Alarick’s relationship is tested further. The darkness is brought to light in Mr. Wolf’s obsession with creating female wolves, and it ended in such a cliffhanger I immediately had to get the next in series and read on. I recommend this audiobook to anyone- it’s an entertaining, delightful listen that was over before I knew it!

Round 2 KnockOut

Wolf Cursed by Lena Mae Hill and narrated by Vanessa Moyen is the second book in the Ravenwood Academy series.
Timberlyn starts her second year at the academy, feeling like she's home for the first time in her life. What it turns out to be is anything but what home should be. Trying to keep her friends from the first year, and finding out who she is are getting in the way. Trying to keep everyone safe may just have gotten her into worse trouble than she ever thought.
Would I recommend this book to others? Yes
Would I listen to this book again? Yes
Beware the cliffhanger is a doosey!

Amazing!

An excellent book and an equally excellent audiobook, with amazing narration! The story is full of twists and turns, and hooked me from start to finish. There's plenty of steam, so reader/listener discretion is advised. I can't wait to find out what happens next!

Exciting

I really enjoyed the book; however I find it very disturbing that there's so much sex and nudity for high school girls. I was very surprise by the turn of event, my mouth hit the floor. Another cliffhanger and this one bigger than the first.

I really thought I could have my 12 year old read the series since it started so good, but now I have to find her something else.

Full of twists and turns

I received a free audio copy of this book directly from the author for an honest review.

This book is most definitely full of twists and turns and you honestly never really know who you can actually trust. For a 15 year old Timberlyn is a very well rounded character and not your usual ‘omg stop being a twit teenager and be sensible!’ Yes she will jump into dangerous situations but she doesn’t do it without thinking it through first a nice change. The world building is interesting and pretty unique for an academy book. The plot is most definitely fast paced maybe a little too fast paced at times for my liking as I don’t always know what’s going on but that’s pretty much the point I think sometimes! The end of book 2 will definitely have you burning for more answers. If it’s anything like the beginning of book 2 you might be waiting a while for the answer of the cliffhanger urrrgh! Evil 😈🤣

amazing book o really enjoyed

This was a great read! I really enjoyed the story. This one picks up a few months after the last one leaves off but we do learn the important parts that we need to know. We get to learn more about what is going on with the Wolf Boys. There are quite a few twists in this story. It does end on a cliffhanger again and I can't wait for the next book. There are plenty of twist and turns to hold your attention the entire way through. It will keep you guessing and waiting for the next twist that is going to come. I am very excited to find out what happens next.

HOLY freaking cliffhanger #2!

Oh my gosh! What a cliffhanger again! Book 2, like book 1, was so freaking good! This series really keeps you on your toes. I love that Timberland isn't bratty or childish. She's strong and fierce. I cannot wait to listen to book 3!

Wolf cursed

This is the second book in this series, the last book finished on a cliff hanger and this book jumps forward in time, but does fill in the gaps as Timberlyn herself finds out what happend. It is a good story and a lot is happening as she finds out about herself and the other she knows. I don't want to spoil it so won't go into to much detail but another cliffhanger at the end and you will definitely want the next book at the ready. I enjoyed listening to this book and I'm looking forward to hear the next one to find out what happens next.

you don't always get what you want

Timberlyn is a strong person.Since she doesn't smell like a wolf to the other wolves she does not know where she fits in. Timberly is determined to stop Mr. wolf from doing what he did to her not happen again. I love this book and the answer you where looking from book 1 got answered in book 2. Lena Mae Hill is a great story teller and brings all characters in a story to life. I can't wait to read the next book to see how it ends
