Publisher's Summary
"It was dark. He had pulled the curtain over the window, like usual, to keep out the light of the moon. Still he could feel it pulsing behind the thick layers of fabric, like water backing up at a dam, ready to explode at any second. But he had been careful. He had shut the window, too, so no faint ripple of wind could sweep back the curtains, and allow in the moonlight. "The precaution wasn't for himself, of course. It was for Him. Just in case."
Deep in the woods, the boy lives alone. Alone, that is, except for Him. A prisoner and a servant, the boy measures his life by the cycles of the moon, taking every precaution possible, knowing that one slip could mean the end. But when the boy discovers a secret deep in the woods, he uncovers the key to bringing down the entire, carefully constructed world around him. But will it mean the end for him, too?

Decent Short Werewolf Story
I quite enjoyed this story. I wasn't always following the timeline as it did jump back and forth and for such a short story that made it a bit hard to follow from time to time. Overall it had a dark tone that really reminded me of the movie The Village. This provided a dark take on the whole life of a werewolf and is a bit graphic. I know this book won't be for everyone, but I thought Margaret Windsor did a good job with the story despite some of the faults. Perfect for those who want a quick werewolf read. Jonathan Waters did a great job with his narration. He really helped set the dark mood and provided the right voice for the story. Muddled Werewolf Tale
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
If the story was clear, decisive and made sense. I really couldn't figure out what was happening through out the story. It was a lobar to listen to.
What was most disappointing about Margaret Windsor’s story?
That there really wasn't any story.
Which character – as performed by Jonathan Waters – was your favorite?
None of them Although Jonathan Walters did an okay performance.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment, nausea and "thank god the book has finally ended"!!

A different wolf story!💜
I read paranormal romance with shifter wolves. I’ve read thriller suspense with werewolves. But this is the first “wolf” story I’ve listened to that was from the POV of a young werewolf who lived in the woods alone and the story of how he became what the became.
It was just okay for me. Not bad but not great.
The narration was fantastic. Jonathan Waters does a wonderful job on this story.
This book can be read as a standalone.

The Twisted Tale of a Werewolf
I really enjoyed Wolf the tale is a real twist on a werewolf story. The story is creative with a twist you will start to understand in the middle. I really like the author tells you the story through the eyes of a young boy that cares for "He" throughout each transformation. I recommend this short book with the amazing Jonathan Waters as the narrator. I received this book for free and this is my honest unbiased review. This is not your ordinary werewolf story.

Nice haunting atmosphere
Wolf is a short novel, and therefore makes a short audiobook - about two hours - and makes for a great in-between listen. Overall, I really enjoyed it. The author did especially great in building an atmosphere of pending fear and haunting which was the thing I appreciated the most in the book. The first half of the novel goes mostly throught the mundane daily chores the unnamed boy does in order to sustain himself and the man he lives it. Even if uneventful, this part managed not to bore me, due mostly to the author's story telling - I really liked Margaret Windsor's way with words - and said atmosphere, and let's not forget the narrator's efforts.
The second half was def more action full. It hinted on many things of the past and thrilled me, but sadly many of those were left as the hints and bits and weren't explained fully. I really wanted to get to know more of how this whole werewolf affair happened. In a way, the novel's lenght was perfect. It stopped right before I got annoyed with the pace and the few answers I was geting, and tho the ending didn't surpise me much, I felt satisfied as a reader.
The narration was nice addition to the story. I liked Johnatan Water's voice, it was nice to listen and easy to understand at all times. I was bit annoyed tho, at times when he as accentuating the "he"s that I could litterally see in both bold and italics - it was giving a weird staccato of the otherwise nice flow. But otherwise, he really helped the story come to life and I would love to listen him elsewhere.
I gave the book 4 stars for story and 4 for narration... which makes for an easy overall of 4 star rating. While not your usual summer read/listen, and without hiding many surprises as a story, Wolf was an interesting experience because of the way it was told ans presented.
Note: I got the book in exchange of my honest opinion

Great narration
If you could sum up Wolf in three words, what would they be?
Suspense
Mystery
Interesting
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Kind of predictable. I knew there would be a twist in the tale at the end.
What does Jonathan Waters bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
He makes the book come alive. I think the story was actually quite predictable and a bit flat but with his narration he gives the story some mystery and he builds up the suspense.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No
Any additional comments?
I thought the story was ok but kind of predictable. There wasnt much dialogue between the characters and I think that would have made a difference. Nevertheless for a 2 hour audio it was ok to listen to.
