Acerca de esta escucha

A cry echoes through a fog-shrouded, gaslit London: "Watson! The game is afoot!" But this is no ordinary case for Sherlock Holmes, the famed consulting detective, and his chronicler, Dr. Watson. Things are not what they seem to be - and neither are Holmes and Watson! Without a Clue is read by Academy Award-winning actor Ben Kingsley.

Having seen this movie, I decided to try this book. I wasn't disappointed. Yes, it's a farcical story, but a fun twist on the Sherlock Holmes type mysteries. I often listen to books at night to help me sleep, and so have to pick books that I already kinda know the story, or I'm up all night listening instead of sleeping. :-) So, this was a favorite to listen to. I guess I'm still a little girl at heart, I love to be read to sleep!

I enjoyed this very much!

Hated it. Kept trying to like the juxtaposition...but as both characters are creations of Conan Doyle, the whole thing seemed just silly. The change from cocaine and Turkish tobacco to simple over-indulgence in all forms of alcohol.did nothing to endear us to the actor, who was portrayed as a ham-handed ignoramus, somehow able to "act" with elegance when demanded by Watson. Both were portrayed as constantly at actual fisticuffs,
behind closed doors. Perhaps suitable for a London stage, somewhere in the North.
Far too boring for London, I would hope.

Watson is the Detective, Holmes an Actor!
