Good story but missing end notes.

The story is complete but there were endnotes in the paperback which are missing in the audiobook. The endnotes had additional information about the story such as what had been on the smudged page, the fate of the spriggans, the dragon and a few other items.

light airy story. not to be taken seriously.

It's a little too light for me. It is clever and well written. The protagonist is likeable. I don't really understand or like poligamy, that only comes in at the end. I don't think the writer really understands it either.

Suit le for all ages

Much better reader than the first book. This is an interesting and attention holding tale suitable for all ages. I thoroughly enjoyed it and intend on reading the next in the series.

Missing a bit from Audible Edition

The print edition contains an epilogue wherein Tobas consults a Theurgist and gets answers to a few plot points and bits of lore, such as exactly why and how Darvan's ship was lost. This is missing, and it makes me sad.

Another great fantasy

Love the Ethshar series, and this was a delight as always. Didn't enjoy the narrator of this one quite as much as the one in "Misenchanted Sword", though he began to grow on me about halfway through.

Entertaining as hell!

I read the misenchanted sword years ago and I stumbled on to this recently. It's thoroughly entertaining. Almost felt like "The Hobbit" at parts because it just goes on so many rambling adventures all at once. Each arc of the story was very entertaining.

Skip

This book was a terrible eye roll of a stereotypical male power fantasy, no thank you
