Wife. Mother. Enchantress. Can a magical talisman cure what ails her?

Multiple sclerosis. Ever since her doctor spoke the words out loud, Maeve has lived in fear of what that means for her life, her family, but most of all, her marriage. Terrified that her husband will leave her - or worse, stay with her out of a sense of obligation rather than love - Maeve has put off telling him about her diagnosis. She convinces her sisters to accompany her to an underground magic market in search of a cure for her chronic illness.

When a mystic sends the trio in search of the Mother Superior of Magic and her healing amulet, the three midlife mavens are pitted against a host of new challenges. Followed into a secret realm by the dark fae who has been keeping tabs on their growing powers, can the trio escape supernatural zombies and find what they so desperately seek? Or will the gamble cost them all their magic...and their souls?

Witch Way Did She Go is the second book in the charming Silver Sisters series. If you enjoy strong female characters who put it all on the line for love, magic at midlife books, and stories full of heat and heart, you’ll adore Jennifer L. Hart’s enchanting tale. Loved the first book

This book was great except the secrets. What i loved about the 1st book was the honesty. Just a personal preference though and this was a great story.

The continuing adventures of three magical middle aged sisters.

I really enjoyed this second book in the female centered tale of the three sisters, Alys, Maeve and Sibby. Jacqueline Rendell one again does a fantastic job of bringing the story to life. The sisters were orphaned young and raised by their eccentric hippie aunt and they’ve recently discovered they have magical powers. Now they are contending with powers they do not know how to use well along with the rest of their everyday problems. This book focuses on Maeve and her recent diagnosis of MS and whether there is a magical cure. The story includes what you’d expect from this genre - fighting, dangerous situations, paranormal creatures, evil masterminds, henchmen, loyal friends and family, tragic back stories, plot twists, mystical coincidences, snark, and laughs. It also includes witty dialogue, characters with depth, and an engaging storyline. Expect to laugh, to cry, to grit your teeth, to cringe, to shout, and to root for the sisters to harness their powers, find love, clean up some life messes, and defeat the bad guys. This is book two in a trilogy and while some minor subplots are resolved, there are still unresolved issues, large and small, when the book ends. This was okay with me, I enjoyed the book enough to keep reading the next book in the series.

Magic Cures?

The thing I like best about Jennifer L Hart's work is the believability of her characters. In this story, Maeve, the middle child of the Silver Sisters, is searching for a cure for her chronic illness. She involves her sisters in attempting to find a cure. The journey takes the sisters to new and exotic places that are fraught with danger. I enjoyed this tale. I recommend it to others. I like that the author prefaces the most descriptive suggestive scene with a warning so that the reader knows what to expect. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Jacqueline Rendell's narration was great, and she adds to the story's entertainment with her expressive voice. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

Again, Jennifer hits it out of the park!

So many LOL moments in the story. I enjoyed watching the sisters growing in their magic and their personal growth.

My biggest difficulty listening was the narrator. The voices of the American women are just fine, I can tell who's talking by hearing the character voice. However. Any brogue gets to Ireland by way of Australia. It was a very mixed Irish brogue/Australian drawl. I found it distracting. It wasn't until halfway into the book that I was finally able to hear the story and not the narrator--if that makes sense. I don't recall any difficulties listening to the first book.

Wish I had read her words about spoonies 50 years ago. So much wisdom there.

Definitely looking forward the Sibby's story!

I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

Witch Way Did She Go

The Silver Sisters are back and now we get Maeve’s story. I love how the sisters come together to help each other out. With Maeve’s chronic illness, there are some big challenges, but all the twists make for a great story.

I really enjoy Jennifer L. Hart’s writing style. She keeps her characters real, even when there’s magic involved. I’m looking forward to diving into the next book!

Jacqueline Rendell has once again done a great job with the narration. She consistently brings out the character’s personalities and their reactions to the challenges they face.

Please Learn to pronounce Samhain

The narrator was ok, but her voice changes weren’t very polished, nor did they have much difference. She also does not how to pronounce Samhain. The story was ok. I’ll probably listen to the third book.
