  • 992. Romans Chapter 16 (#3) To the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ! April 13, 2026
    Apr 13 2026

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 13. I will then key in on verse 13 - Whoever despises the word brings destruction on himself, but he who revers the commandment will be rewarded. What an outstanding verse! The contrast is that those who ignore the Bible (and try to live their life on their own -brings destruction upon himself (life will not go well for you)! - while those who open the Bible, read it, and follow the commandments will be rewarded! On today's podcast we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be completing our study (going over verses 17-27 of Chapter 16). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

    1. Watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the gospel.

    2. I want you to be wise as to what is good and innocent as to what is evil (God wants us ti be able to discern that which is good and that which is evil).

    3. To the only wise God by glory forevermore through Jesus Christ!

    Scriptures referenced on today's podcast:

    Proverb 13:13; Romans 16:17-27; 1 Timothy 1 :3; 1 Timothy 6:3; 2 John verse 10; Jude verse 24; 1 Timothy 1:17

Call to Action - Ask yourself this question - Do you have a reverence for God? (and His word - the Bible)?

  • 991. Romans Chapter 16 - Paul knew many people who were helping spread Christianity - April 10, 2026
    Apr 10 2026

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 10. I will then ey in on verse 12 - Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses. Friends, hate is a very strong word (and one I would not try to use very often). This verses tells you that whenever hatred is displayed that there will be strife (in my opinion - meaning a lack of peace). This verse also talks about the power of love (Love never fails - 1 Cor 13:8). On today's lesson we will be continuing our study of the Book of Romans. Today we will be going over Chapter 16 (verses 1-16). By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

    1. Phoebe was probably the person who delivered this letter to the Christians in Rome.

    2. Paul knew many people who were helping spread Christianity in Rome.

    3. It is clear that Paul exhorted all who were helping in the spreading of the gospel.

Call to Action - Ask yourself this question - Do you have any close Christian friends that you can count on? If not I suggest that you find a local church where you can fellowship with fellow believers.

    Apr 6 2026

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then key in on verse 27 - Can a man carry fire next to his chest and his clothes not be burned? Friends, we could rephrase this - how close can we come to sin and not enter into it? Friends, we all have areas of our life that have given us issues in the past. Many times we've moved on from these. However, if you allow yourself to enter into temptation it is possible to enter back into it (even if you haven't participated in that activity for over a year).
