A chilling look at Spanish history

I have always heard about the Spanish Civil War but have never known any details. This book gave me a good overview and the notes at the end clarified this even more. The fictional characters were completely believable and I found the story harrowing in parts but uplifting in others. C J Sansom knows how to tell a moving story.
