A short sexy read!
This is a sexy adult short story. While it may be short, it does pack a punch. I enjoyed listening to this story, as I do like adult books.
This story is about Melissa and Jack. Short, sweet and sassy as we meet a young couple in love. Jack takes Melissa out to the woods where they set off for an adventure of another kind (lolol). We even get a happy ending. Thinking about that, it was romantic!
Kudos to the author Mindy Wilde as this story was original for me. While it was short,it had a good plot. Winter Wonderland caught my attention from the beginning and had me listening til the very end. The narrator, Lia Langola spoke clearly and was easy on the ears. I would call this a very pleasant read! Good job ladies!

Any additional comments?
WINTER WONDERLAND is a story about a man and woman who go away together for a mini vacation. It immediately became apparent to me that Ms. Wilde is a very skilled writer, describing the vacation setting in such a thorough way that I could easily envision the locations in my head. In fact, without trying to, I felt like I was literally watching the main characters while they were outdoors in the cold yet serene and tranquil setting Miss Wilde created. While in that setting, the reader becomes a voyeur to the one sex scene included in this book. Having a book with just one sex scene is fine as long as that one scene is a good one! Again, Ms. Wilde impressed me with her writing skills and has the MC's participate in some very exciting, "activities" yet the sex scene was incredibly, unbelievably brief. I personally would have preferred to have had less description of the wilderness surroundings and a longer sex session! Hopefully Wilde's other male MC's are more virile than this one is!
This was an extremely short story so, knowing that before beginning the book, I did not expect much of a storyline; my assumptions were correct! Fortunately though, there was no cliffhanger, the story never felt rushed or did I feel like parts were missing.
I am an audiobook addict and have listened to hundreds of them! There are some audiobooks I cannot endure listening to even though it is written by one of my favorite authors simply because I cannot tolerate the narrator's voice. Fortunately, that was not at all the case with this audiobook..... Narrator Lia Langola has the most natural, genuine sounding voice I have ever heard! Her voice perfectly fit both the male and female characters without sounding pretentious or silly. She did not over exaggerate any emotions, pauses etc. but read the book seamlessly and smoothly. I was very, very impressed with her, so much so that I'm now wondering if aspects of the book that impressed me were a result of Ms. Wilde's writing style or if Ms. Langora's narration was responsible for that!?! I will definitely be looking for more audiobooks narrated by her!

A sweet short story that is hot!
Any additional comments?
Winter Wonderland is an adult short story. We meet Melissa and Eric as they travel to his cabin in the woods for a romantic weekend. Melissa would love to just relax but Eric suggests going on a walk thru the snow first. While they are on their walk, one thing leads to another and it gets pretty heated. After a satisfying tryst in the woods, the return home and enjoy each other's company.
This short story would make a great jumping off point for a future novel length story. I would love to know more about Melissa and Eric.
Ms. Langola's voice is well suited for this romantic story. She gives each character their own voice, has great pacing and I would love to listen to some more of her work.
As this has mature content, I would recommend this to those listeners that are at least 18 or over.

Short Romantic Story Left Me Wanting More Hot/Cold
What other book might you compare Winter Wonderland (A Romantic Short Story) to and why?
This is a 20 minute listen that left me wanting more, in a good way! It is basically 2 events... I want to know what lead Melissa & Jack to this point. Who are they? How did they meet? Any adventures that drew them together or pushed them apart?
Likewise, I want to know what is next for them? Will they get av HEA?
Mindy Wilde could add to this short story and make a full length novel. Everything is there; the writing is great, the descriptions vivid, etc.
Publisher's Summary
Melissa is excited as when her boyfriend drives her up to his family cabin for a quick weekend getaway. A little tired from the trip Melissa is hesitant when Eric suggests they head out for a walk in the woods. Her mood quickly changes when Eric shows her the pleasure that can be found walking in a Winter Wonderland.
What about Lia Langola’s performance did you like?
Lia Langola's performance was believable. While there were only two characters, Jack & Melissa, she did both very well. It is always a surprise to hear a woman portray a masculine character without overdoing it. (Or a male performer portraying a female lead without a lisp.)
Lia Langola did each character extremely well. I hope to hear more from her...perhaps a full length version of Winter Wonderland.
Any additional comments?
NOTE: Mature themes
Credit/$ Worthy: I do not buy or use credits on anything less than 6 hours long. However, *I was given a copy of this in exchange for my thoughts and review.* I WILL be looking for lengthier books by Mindy Wilde and Lia Langola.
If you enjoy a quick listen than you will be missing out if you don't go for this.

Quickie with love at heart
This short is about a boy asking his girl to love him forever in his own personal winter wonderland. Saying anything more would spoil this already short story. It is romantic, with a HEA. First time with Mindy Wilde, and would read more. Have listened to Lia Longola before and her performance doesn't get in the way of the story allowing you to get lost. Listened through the romance package.

Short and steamy
This was a good read, just not anything amazing. I would definitely say read it if you want a quick little holiday smexy. But there are other books out there with more story and more steam. Not a lot going on in the story department and the steam was not as detailed as I expected.
I listened to the audiobook Narrated by Lia Langola, who has a great read. I love the quality of her voice and the energy she puts into the read. I have listened to several of her narrations and am never disappointed.
This is a nice little steamy read.

Romantic short that's fun to imagine!
What did you love best about Winter Wonderland (A Romantic Short Story)?
A fast listen that was fun to go along with the story. It's cold where I am when I listened to the story so the imagery and setting were perfect. Voice of narrator was great. Would listen to a book by this author and narrator again.
