Critic Reviews
"This story of good and evil siblings examines how we all learn to live with who we are, and does so through supple writing and a tense and carefully executed plot... Blaylock combines the supernatural with a deep understanding of contemporary California and human nature, producing a book with appeal for both fantasy fans and readers of realistic fiction." This is a great book. Blaylock at his best.
I always love Blaylock's ability to craft a great story with interesting characters - the protagonist is always interesting and the bad guy, damn creepy and Edmond is super creepy!

Wonderfully elevated language
A cut above the usually badly written fiction. This author knows hoe to write. A reminder of Hemingway. Wonderfully adverb free for the most part.
