Publisher's Summary

The Quinn family celebrates their most dramatic Christmas yet in this enchanting sequel to Elin Hilderbrand's best-selling Winter Street.

Christmas on Nantucket finds Winter Street Inn owner Kelley Quinn and his family busily preparing for the holiday season. Though the year has brought tragedy, the Quinns have much to celebrate: Kelley has reunited with his first wife, Margaret; Kevin and Isabelle have a new baby; and Ava is finally dating a nice guy.

But when Kelley's estranged wife, Mitzi, shows up on the island along with Kevin's devious ex-wife, Norah, and a dangerously irresistible old fling of Ava's, the inn is suddenly overrun with romantic feuds, not to mention guests. With jealousy, passion, and eggnog consumption at an all-time high, it's going to take a whole lot more than a Christmas miracle to get the Quinns - and the inn - through the holidays intact.

Elin never disappoints

So far this series is as interesting as Elin’s other work. It is however frustrating that each book in this series is so short - yet full priced. It seems that it could be 2 books instead of 4.

Hilderbrand is brilliant!

Where does Winter Stroll rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love all of Hilderbrand's stories, but this one was really great. Rarely is a sequel as good as the first, but this one is! Well thought out plot and details.

What does Erin Bennett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Really got a feel for the characters. She did a great job!

Great Story, highly recommend

Elin Hilderbrand is really good at characterizations and making us care for each character as people who might be your friends. I didn't want it to end. I read the one prior, but this is easily a stand alone. I hope she writes another and soon. I want to know what happens to all of them in particular two characters. Perfect for a 3 hour drive one way.

She said, he said.

I love the story on this series of books but the fact that every other word was she said, he said was so distracting! In a conversation between two people every time one spoke, it ended with she said or he said. When it’s only two people you know one is speaking to the other; the author doesn’t need to keep telling us one or the other spoke. It almost seems like she was told she needed a certain amount of words to complete so she’d use he said, she said to get to that amount.

Combine the books

I feel that this series of books need to be combined into less books. I always feel like we are in the middle when it ends. 2 times in a row I’m left angry. I won’t buy any more.

A decent dysfunctional family Christmas Story.

I love the narration. I appreciate when the characters have their own voices, it's more fun that way.

Playing it safe

Would you consider the audio edition of Winter Stroll to be better than the print version?

Narration always in "JMO" to tell you if it's a great book or a good book! If you can listen to it with eyes closed and see it played out, it's a great book!!!

What did you like best about this story?

Of course it was happy ever after, set in the time of year! Where snow is falling but I'm on a beach with sun pounding down!

Did Erin Bennett do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yes, I could tell that you really did read and invest her time truly in the characters she was able to make each character of their own.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and for the most part I did. I will be with headphones markings on my face. Not that it was boring it was I was so tired and it was so early in the morning that I just couldn't fight to sleep any longer , I did not want the book to end
