One sassy demi-goddess. Four hot Guardians. And a few evil people.

As a demi-goddess, Wyn has always stood out from the human crowd. And now, on her 22nd birthday, her magic finally surfaces with a bang. A big bang. She'll need the help of not one, but four (sexy) Guardians to control her destructive powers. If only they weren't so distracting....

Her mother, the Winter Queen, waits for Wyn in the Realms of Gods, but there are enemies who will try and prevent her from ever reaching the Realms, even if that means going to war.

Will Wyn be able to survive the journey? And if she does, can she resist falling for her Guardians?

Interesting story

I was very intrigued with the story line. I love stories where a characters powers are still developing as something new can always pop up. Nothing is impossible. I thought the characters were well developed. There are a lot of main characters so I am still looking forward to learning more about them but that is to be expected. Book 2 should hopefully clear up some of the unknowns.

Narration was good- Laurel has a beautiful voice and a great accent for this book.

Different for me

Every once in a while, I like to venture out of my comfort zone and listen to a book that is not my usual genres of choice. This one popped up at just the right time, I needed a break and Skye MacKinnon gave it to me! Wynter is a demigod that has reached the age where her magic would come into full force. Her mother has sent for her to come to the realm and to escort her are 4 guardians. I could not help but see these men as male muses and with that I kept it in my head as a Greek God type of story, almost cartoonish at times. With the adventure that Wyn has set out on, the protection of these four men and the danger she was up against, the book was full of mystery, intrigue and passion. MacKinnon is very creative with her imagery, and I loved how completely awkward Wynter is, which for me made her a more relatable character. The book is a nice change of pace.

This story has so much going on that it needs an incredibly talented narrator. Laurel Schroeder is the perfect fit, with her many distinguishable voices, the convincing accents and her wonderful story telling ability. I loved her performance!

Not what I expected!

This listen is reminiscent of some Disney stories with an erotic fantasy twist. I thought that Laurel Schroeder did an awesome performance with the various characters. She delivered distinguishable voices for the various characters and made the book fun to listen to. I found some humor in the way things were described. The imagery was not like anything I've heard before. This is the first book by Skye MacKinnon that I've listened to. It is outside my preferred genre of contemporary romance, but well worth trying. I was surprised by the ending of the book, which sends kudos to the author.

Fun, flirty, reverse harem goodness!

This was a very enjoyable introduction to the series. You're introduced to the main characters and given just enough storyline to get you interested in what is to come. The interactions between the MC and her guardians is fun and flirty. It adds a bit of lightness and humor to the story.

The narrator did a great job! Her accents were wonderful. You would have though more than one person was doing the reading! She was really able to bring each character to life in their own unique way.

I really look forward to listening to the rest of the series!

Loved it

This was a great start to the series and left me wanting more. The narrator did an amazing job, she didn't read too fast or slow, and her voice didn't irritate me (I actually liked it). I will definitely be picking up the rest of the series.

Winter Princess

Wyn is a demi-goddess and her mother has sent her to the earth to live with the humans in hopes of protecting her. She has sheltered her, her entire life. Not giving her much information on her magic or what life is really like in her mothers world. On her 22nd birthday her magical powers will choose a path but her human family have not been prepared for what is about to happen. Her mother makes a mistake in not sending for her sooner. Her new guards must protect and teach her how to handle her changes while trying to get her to her mothers palace. Laurel Schroeder does an amazing job on the narration.

Great story

I didn’t know what I was getting when I purchased this book. I purchased because of Laurel Schroeder narration so I missed the part of it being a revered harem. I am usually not a fan of sex scenes or multiple partners. That being said it was so tastefully done and well written as well as being such an intricate part of the story that I didn’t mind. Winter Princess has a great story like with well developed characters the only thing I didn’t like was that it ended. I will picking up the next book in the series right away.

Different and entertaining read

I really enjoyed this story. It was completely different from what I was expecting, different from anything I’ve read before, and I loved it! It’s full of magic and wonder that kept me entertained from beginning to end. I can’t wait for book 2.
Laurel Schroeder is one of my favorite narrators, and the reason I listened to this book. That said, I was completely amazed by her performance. Her narration is ALWAYS fabulous, but this time she has outdone herself. Her character voices and accents were outstanding and absolutely brought this story to life!

Had me laughing for almost the entirety of the book. Definetly had a great sense of humor.
I fell in love with all of the main characters. Each had their own unique personalities that made them stand out.
This left me wanting more and I'm sitting on the edge of my seat for the next book.
The narrator fits the story well and is easy to understand.
