When Dan Coast is notified by Town of Webb police investigator, Eric Stone, that the caretaker at his camp in Old Forge has been murdered, Dan and his trusty sidekick, Red Baxter, head to New York. And what could be better for two Key West guys than a winter in upstate New York.
What starts out as a search for a new caretaker, soon ends up being a search for a killer. While questioning locals, Dan and Red quickly come to the realization that everyone in town liked Leland Mavin. “He was a great guy,” says everyone. But who, who was the one person who wanted him dead, and why?
