The original book is great, but there are only 3 chapters available in the audio version.

    too basic

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

i believe this book could have been written ia a weekend. i have read other books ''for dummies' but not this bad.spend more money and buy from vines to wines or the wine bible

Would you ever listen to anything by Ed McCarthy and Mary Ewing-Mulligan again?

i would have to see the table of contents

What didn’t you like about Brett Barry’s performance?

it flowed well. good pronunciation and diction

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Wine for Dummies 4th Edition?

    re-write the whole book

    Any additional comments?

    none

    Missing info

It starts off promising, but there is not nearly enough information on varietals. Also, you'd think they would choose a narrator with at least very basic french knowledge, his pronunciations are not just incorrect, they're EMBARRASSING...and if someone is learning these words for the first time, they will embarrass themselves by learning from this guy.

Not much to it, I learned only a tiny bit.

It's just far too short and doesn't include nearly enough information about wine. Though I will say that the narrator did a great job and the book wasn't as boring as one would suspect.

    Too basic and general

Way too little information. I get it. For dummies. But covers some topics for seconds. Not worth it. Get printed Wine Folly instead.

I know so much more about wine now.

I knew nothing about wine at all. Now I know at least the basics. There is still much more to learn.

    Not really recommend

Rather I formative, but as you learn more about wine you can notice easily that some information is not quite accurate. Some theories are nothing but myths and I think delivering right info is more important than large info

    Great Introduction

was a great book to get an introduction to the basics of wine. Will be a great stepping stone to become a sommelier.

loved the detail and learned a lot

I really enjoyed listening to this program. It taught me a lot and I think I already knew a lot from being a winemaker.
