Publisher's summary

The race for Resurrection City begins with an earthquake, a rare class, and a portal to the Spirit Realm.

In the aftermath of waking the game system known as the Cipher, the newly minted council of 11 must learn to wage war with new skills in a world that’s been cut in half.

It's a race against time...and new enemies to fulfill prophecy and activate the first Rune they need to survive. The alien Osuna are coming, and scripture says that only the Runelords will stand a chance when they arrive.

Can Cullen's party find the Spirit Realm’s buried city that houses the dangerous and necessary Rune? And what sort of terrible fate awaits the unprepared?

Great series so far

Can’t wait for the next installment of this great series. The characters are amazing, I am so invested in Thier plight that I could not put it down.

I said I’d give book 2 a shot. I shouldn’t have..

What’s most frustrating about this series is that unless somebody else wrote the Novella in Book 1, this author has the potential to write good, suspenseful, action oriented LitRPG / Fantasy, and yet he continues to bore the reader to death. 5 hours into the story and they killed an eagle… This entire series feels like one giant travel quest. I was hoping for the action packed, high tempo storyline similar to Book 1’s Novella chapters. Instead, we get continued boredom, romping across various landscapes, and dissecting the storylines into annoying chunks that constantly shifts the view of the reader. Nothing happens… It’s like watching an old horror movie where you constantly follow around behind a character running from everything the entire time. Just nothing worth noting happens… I’ll be returning both books. This isn’t a story I care about…the characters aren’t likable…the action moves at a snail’s pace.
